For Oscar Scherer State Park: October 2015: We stayed here during the week. Our spot was large and nice. Restrooms were clean. The best benefit of this park for us was free wifi Internet at the screened in shelter by the little swimming lake. The park was quiet. Staff was nice. It was a great location at a reasonable price to explore Sarasota and The Ringling Museum and St. Armand's Circle. We've stayed here a number of times as we have family in the area. We've always been pleased with our stay. One time we even launched our tandem kayak and traveled out in the Intracoastal!

For Oscar Scherer State Park: The camp sites along the canal are real close and are not great when you have a site with 10 people partying next to you. It seemed to be an issue with the kids every where. People were bringing their kids so they could turn them loose on the other campers. It was realy loud both nights we were their. I looked forward to leavin. The bike and walking paths were not bad, but I could not enjoy myself with all the racket going on. Adults and kids. DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT rent si 68. Its right next to the other site with nothing between you. It was a nightmare.
