For Mill Dam Lake Resort: Very nice clean cabins on the lake. Awesome views of the sun rise and sunset on the lake from the deck or the bay window. Very close to attractions and stores but far enough out to have some peace and quiet. Several places that deliver food here never had a problem. WIFI was great We loves our week vacation here and will go again.

For Mill Dam Lake Resort: Just a warning to others....... Their website is VERY misleading. We needed a place to stay for a month in Central Florida. We called from the previous campground that we'd been staying at to see if they had availability. The lady on the phone said "we only have one left". Since the campground that was our first choice was already full we went ahead and booked it. She wanted our credit card over the phone. I know better than paying for a site before seen but she said it was the last one! So I gave her the credit card number which she said would be charged that day. (Absolutely no refunds)
This could be a very long story but I will cut to the chase and comment on discrepancies with their website.

Concrete pads - I don't see any. We are parked on grass that sinks when it rains.

Restaurant- There is no restaurant on site much less that delivers. There is a mini mart at the entrance. Don't expect to get your milk and bread there, but if it's beer and soda you are after you are in luck!

Beach/Swimming footsteps from your site - There is no beach on the property. There is no water that you can swim in on property unless you don't mind swimming with alligators! There is a beach that you can see from the property but you need a vehicle to get there. It is part of the National Forest system so you have to pay fees to get in.

Laundry - Yes, there is a laundry "onsite" but it sits facing State Highway 40 and has a big sign with the hours written on it (the hours on the sign are incorrect) so it is open to the public. There is only COLD water wash available.

Boats and jet ski rental (as talked about on other reviews) - None.

Don't bother sending an email inquiry as their website suggests. I did and never did get a response. I also would caution you to NOT get anything of importance sent to you here via mail. We never did get the FedEx "overnight " envelope that was sent to us. Everybody that we met that was staying in a RV space or a "cabin" was very disappointed that the website was so misleading. We were told that the "cabins" were filthy and had to be thoroughly cleaned by the guest themselves before they could stay in them. These cabins look an awful lot like old FEMA trailers left from the hurricane cleanup.

Lastly, unless you don't mind VERY LOUD road noise (I am usually not bothered) all day and all night long then I would suggest somewhere else. The road noise also includes the police and fire vehicles that zoom by.

The guests here, though had a "grin and bear it" approach to the place and are very nice.
