For Manatee Hammock Park: Not sure why all the negative reviews (post covid staff shortages maybe?). The campground is a nice well shaded spot with decent sized grass/sand sites. Pool is clean and presents well, laundry isn’t huge but machines look well kept (2nd laundry closed but building appears to be undergoing maintenance). We arrived without a reservation (web site is very awkward) and office staff completed booking for us (he was a tad gruff but helpful). Great view for rocket launches and nice pier. We’ll stay again.

For Manatee Hammock Park: Customer service is unfriendly. Employees need a lot of training in public relations. The park is nicely landscaped. Amenities are nice. Has good view of the space launches from cape Canaveral. Campsites are poorly maintained. Park staff is the rudest I’ve ever encountered. Seems that their customers are an irritant to them.

For Manatee Hammock Park: This campground is on the expensive side for a publicly-owned facility. We arrived after dark. The online reservation information said checkin 2-9pm. The office was closed as we arrived just after 8pm, and the rules and map flyer said the hours are 2-8pm. That was the first clue. The map provided had no labeling other than site numbers. The signage for the different camp roads had names, not site numbers, and those names were not on the map. When asked the next morning, the staff said, “oh, we just put up the street names, and we’re using up old maps.” The site numbers are only on the electrical hookup boxes, but since the campground was full, you couldn’t see any of those boxes from the camp roads. We drove around for a while to find our site. The site was tiny side to side. It was sufficiently long for our class B, but otherwise quite cramped next to a large 5th wheel. We checked out the bath house, and there were signs that there was no hot water in the close one, so use the other. The other bath house also said there was no hot water. We asked at the office, and their response was, “oh, our propane supplier didn’t come fill.” Well, maybe they could actually monitor the levels themselves? Does the county government really have no ability to work with a propane supplier? We won’t return to this park, nor to any of the Brevard County parks given the sub-par facilities and disinterested staff.

For Manatee Hammock Park: They are no longer maintaining this park so beware. There are so many dogs with very few rules that in reality you are camping in a dog park. As long as you don't mind them doing their business in your site you are good. Check rates they just jumped way up as of 15 Nov 2022.

For Manatee Hammock Park: This is no longer a $$$ park. Monthly rate increased over 100 percent. Ground maintenance has become non-existent and dogs everywhere with no rules enforced.

For Manatee Hammock Park: Ok park. Some sites large and others tight. Bathrooms ok. Laundry very old but worked. Sites sand/dirt that tracks inside camper Pool closed for maintenance but it looked fine. A lot of rules. We stayed an extra day to watch the space flight from Kennedy space center which you can watch from the campground. That was fun. Close to beaches and Kennedy center. Rec hall locked even though they said open. Nice pier to watch sunrise in morning

For Manatee Hammock Park: Great Park but don't expect equal treatment. 2 oclock check in time if they don't like you or you are not a regular. I watched people get turned away because it was too early and 1/2 hour later check multi people in at 12:00. Said because they need to prepare the sites. In 6 years I have never seey them prep a site after someone leaves the months I was here. Its to their advantage to let people check in early if the site is empty. Eases the rush later. Typical government BS. Why can't we work with people than against.
