For Petersburg - J Strom Thurmond Lake: Camped one night Monday March 11, 2024 with a last minute reservation; lots of availability. Nice sites, bathrooms and opportunities for water activities plus some hiking. Would definitely come again and stay longer.

For Petersburg - J Strom Thurmond Lake: Of all my six years of camping with my travel trailer, this is the worst site I have ever experienced The site numbers are almost not to be found. This site is so unlevel, and I had to choose between trying to level and trying to get near the electric and water hook ups. And the water hook up is leaking. I’m staying the night because I’m tired, will be gone in the morning

For Petersburg - J Strom Thurmond Lake: Site 31 - very large private pull thru on lake! All sites on this side are gorgeous! Bathhouse could use more shower curtains for privacy while showering in women’s room, but otherwise very clean and tidy.

For Petersburg - J Strom Thurmond Lake: We like this park mainly because of the seclusion of each site. You're not staring or being stared at by campers in adjacent sites. We'll be back.
