For Watson Mill Bridge State Park: We are in site 13. Very nice pull through, but all the outside sites are very nice. This park has wonderful hiking trails. You can get lots of good pictures of the bridge and the river. Bathrooms were very good and Verizon signal was low but it worked. Half hour from Athens, GA.

For Watson Mill Bridge State Park: Surrounded by beautiful farms. Small well maintained campground located in woods. Almost all sites are pull-through. Take a hike down to the covered bridge and falls with a picnic lunch, put your feet in the cool water and enjoy! Stayed 4 nights in 25" class C.

For Watson Mill Bridge State Park: Excellent campground. We were here over Christmas 2019. It was not very crowded. Restrooms were clean and warm. Very nice hiking trails. Convenient to Athens for supplies.

For Watson Mill Bridge State Park: Best camp sites we have found in the east. Very large sites, level, and plenty of room between. Much like the Cloudland Canyon sites but larger and easier to maneuver. Almost empty midweek in August. The bridge and swimming area were nice. Use route 22 out of Comer to avoid the bridge restrictions. GPS map data was very inaccurate approaching this place. Just map to Comer then find route 22 and look for the signs to campground.

Christmas

For Watson Mill Bridge State Park: We enjoyed seeing the covered bridge and the hiking down the side of the old mill race was fun. My wife has trouble hiking at times, but was able to make the distance and did enjoy it.

The only concern we had was we didn't realize that our gps would bring us directly to the covered bridge that we couldn't go across and the park was on the other side. There was a sign telling you to take another road but we are not familiar with the area so we didn't know where the other road was located. This meant that we had to back up and turn around when we realized the bridge limitation
did have to travel a distance to get to the other side. This would probably not be a problem for people from the area, but we are from 2200 miles away and don't know the area.

Enjoyed this park and all the Georgia parks.

Marty

For Watson Mill Bridge State Park: Great state park, small with nicely wooded sites and an easy (and pretty) walk to the covered bridge. Very scenic.
