For Stephen C Foster State Park: The camping was very nice. Large private sites, except the one we got. Sites 15 and 18 are right on top of each other. Great for a family. Not good if next to strangers. Bathrooms looks newer. Large individual unisex rooms. Being out in the middle of nowhere, it’s a designated dark sky park. It is also a National Wildlife Refuge, so discount if you have a Senior US Park pass. The 2 hour swamp boat tour is well worth the $22. Book early, only 2 trips a day in week days. We had friends stay at a cabin there. Kind of pricy, but well furnished 2 bed 2bath apartment-like with full kitchen. Bring binoculars and bug repellent.

For Stephen C Foster State Park: Remote location to enjoy the wilderness. Bring bug spray and pants and long sleeved shirts. Well maintained with level sites. Camp trading post has essentials and canoe/kayak/motor boat rentals. Stayed 2 nights in 25' class C.

For Stephen C Foster State Park: Sites level, good roads, most 30 amps but pull trus are 50 amps, big sites with privacy and the best for last is the bathrooms are excellent. They were heated with individual locked showers, toilet and sinks with changing area and the scenery was excellent too😃

For Stephen C Foster State Park: This is a great park if you enjoy the outdoors and like staying in remote areas (i.e. no cell service). There are number of hiking trails and boat rentals that allow you to explore the swamp. Stayed two nights in a 35 ft Class A during early March, so weather was mild with few bugs. Arrived after a heavy rain, so there was lots of standing water and some of some of the sites were flooded. Limited number of sites that would fit a 35 ft rig, and only 59-64 (pull through sites) have 50 Amp Service. Loop for sites 1-26 is narrow and twisty with lots of ruts - would not have been able to get our rig through. Even the road for sites 27-58 was narrow and twisty with some low hanging branches, but navigable. Did not use any of the campsite facilities. Gave it 4 stars as I think this is a very unique park, but the price ($35/night + tax) is a little high and the condition of the campground roads is not the best. This was our second time here (stayed in Feb 2019), and would definitely come back if we are in the area.

For Stephen C Foster State Park: Our site was clean and maintained because we got to pick it upon arrival. I wouldn’t advise booking online, some sites are in very bad shape. The bathrooms are full of spider webs and you can tell they haven’t been cleaned or maintained in weeks. The whole staff lives on site, because the closet town is 20 miles away. Make sure you fill up with fuel before you start into the reserve. We seen alligators and about 5 cotton mouth snakes. Too close for comfort. We planned on staying a few day but only stayed 1. The area is beautiful if you like the outdoors like we do. Don’t count on the facilities unless you like to shower with spiders and snakes. Lol

For Stephen C Foster State Park: Like everyone else, we loved this place. HINT: if you go in warm weather, take a cheap box fan AND don't select the most private place you can find.....Select the most open so the slight breezes will help with the gnats- that is also what box fan is for also. Bring bikes or rent them.

For Stephen C Foster State Park: Charming Campground has nicely sized sites. Vegetation throughout the Campground provides a sense of privacy. There are two showers in each restroom. The handicapped shower, toilet, and sink are together in one stall. It is a short walk from the Campground to the dock and park store. Canoes and motor boats are available for rent and there is a very interesting 1.5 hr swamp boat tour that runs several times a day
