For Pine Mountain RV Resort: A great location about 45 minutes North of Columbus, GA (Ft. Benning), about an hour east of Auburn, and about an hour west of Atlanta. A well maintained, full amenity RV Resort with a pool, steam rooms, multiple laundry locations, cabins, yurts, playground, gathering pavilion, and various different types of RV Sites. This park is conveniently located between two of our children so we have stayed many times. The park is very well maintained with constant upgrades being done. Our only real complaint is their reservation restrictions. We would love to stay a month at a time as we do just about everywhere else we go. But, Pine Mountain is in the RCI family and they have a 27 night maximum. They will allow long term stays at a greatly reduced monthly rate, however, you have to comply with a full background check including financial as well as criminal. I understand the need for oversight at an RV park so close to major cities, however, I do not feel that it is acceptable to treat RV travelers like lease-agreement tenants. Sorry, but I'm not giving my social security number and banking info to a campground. We're rolling in with nearly $200k on wheels, retired military, and an active Top Secret clearance willing to pay an additional deposit for a long term stay, but they're unwilling to work with us. It is nonsense...a criminal can stay 26 nights completely unnoticed...so why, if not just for more data collection to be sold off eventually. It's a shame because it makes it hard for us to visit with our kids for as long as we would like, especially since management won't even entertain a work-around scenario. Other than the convoluted long term reservation requirements, this is a great park and great park for kids, especially! We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

For Pine Mountain RV Resort: Clean, some spaces to tight, Campground was maybe 30 percent occupied yet we were paced in a tight spot with another camper. Noticed this was true of entire campground. Don’t know if it ifs policy or lack of training.Do feel price is high for what you get.To me grounds don’t feel like a resort because of the lack of landscaping.

For Pine Mountain RV Resort: Over night stay. Beautiful area. Clean concrete pad quiet. Poor WiFi. Would stay again. Be careful with gps directions. We arrived from the south and our gps told us to turn too early. Fortunately we were able to make a very long country block and arrived at the entrance.

For Pine Mountain RV Resort: Way more expensive than it should be. There are some nice things about the park, but for the price charged your not getting that much value. Our site was sufficient in length, but the concrete pad was narrow. Just big enough for our Rv to fit on. We have stayed at many parks that were better campsites and much cheaper.

Ed

For Pine Mountain RV Resort: Nice park, but for this level of park - you’re paying RV Resort prices - I definitely expected better. First of all, be careful that you get a “good” site. We stayed in site 191 which was one of the best - good view and very spacious “front yard” for us. However, there are some sites that are very close together. So be careful what you get. It’s quiet and peaceful, in beautiful country. The lake to the west is perhaps 2 or 300 yards away from the park and on private property, which Pine Mt. puts out on their website. Nice grounds with green grass all around. Downsides - the only concrete on the sites is where your rig is parked - it’s no wider than that. And amazingly to me, despite the fact the RV pads are poured concrete, they aren’t level. I have no idea why they’d do that. Also, they do not allow you to wash your rig - if you pay this much for an RV site, you should at least be able to wash your own rig. And you aren’t allowed to put out a fenced kennel for your dogs. Finally, one of the reasons we booked there was for the pool . . . yet it was closed for no obvious reason. We should have been told ahead of time it was closed - we’d have gone somewhere else. Bottom line - it’s a nice Park, but at “Resort” prices, we expected better, and have received much nicer at other parks. We stayed at another RVC Outdoors property in Hot Springs, AK, (Catherine’s Landing), at similar prices, that put this park to shame.

DaVida

For Pine Mountain RV Resort: Resort style with swim pool, pavilion, playground. Two bathhouses were inconveniently located far from sites, a good walk after dark. But showers were hot and spacious. Good enough laundry. FHU sites, small trees with little shade is good in cold weather. Warning - sites have cement curb to protect utilities, but risky to trip over, especially after dark. Be advised, weekend was noisy. Partiers at the pool woke us at 2am, a phone call went to message, but they called right back, then sent the noisy folks away.

For Pine Mountain RV Resort: Does not participate in tents for troops any longer, but was a superb campground nonetheless.
