A beautiful, clean, well maintained campground. There are two bath houses - one in camping area 2 is new, one in camping area 1 is showing its age but it is clean. We used the laundry - there are 3 washers and 3 dryers that cost 1.25 each. Ice was 1.50 per 10 lb bag. Office staff was very friendly. Campsites 1-10 and 39-43 had less shade than others. Our site 59 was perfect. Full hookups, shade on all sides and beautiful. There are several hiking trails in the park, many nice playgrounds, putt-putt golf a Nature Center. We will definitely be back.

A wonderful CG with spacious and well laid out sites. Some are FHU some E/W. Electric was fine and water pressure was good at 40psi. Our site (#17) was a little too exposed for us (we faced the road) but #19 looked like a perfect site. The washrooms are immaculate though the shower pressure is not great. There is a W/D at each of the 2 comfort stations-new machines $0.75 a load.
Trails aplenty with a variety of sites, a wonderful Nature Center, check in and the ranger station is excellent and there is a small store for camping supplies and souvenirs. Mini-golf, playgrounds, kayaking completes it for the overnight campers. There are also some day use areas. Gorgeously situated on the St Marys River. No-see-ums are a problem but we were recommended (used and now recommend) Olive Ol Hair Sheen Spray with coconut, available at the local Winn Dixie (not CVS)
Convenient to I-95 and there is a Pilot gas station at the intersection with St Marys Rd.
Historical St Marys, Submarine Museum (in town) and Cumberland Island are all worth visiting while there.
Hospital/ER:Urgent Care of Coastal Georgia (912) 510-8224 good reviews
Vet:good reviews Camden Veterinary Clinic 10535 Colerain Rd, St Marys, GA 31558 (912) 882-8886
Dentist:no emergency dentists close by but several regular dentists with decent reviews but all closed on W/E-closest 24/7 emergency in Jacksonville Fl (1.5 hrs)

Well maintained campground in nice park. Good views of river from the campground. Sites are large and widely spaced. Some sites in partial shade and others in full sun. Would stay here again as a waypoint along I-95.

Clean neat, tall pine trees so not much privacy outside of sites are not close. Pretty scenery from waters edge. Bring insect spray

First time to stay at this park. Check in staff friendly and helpful. Previously mentioned renovations on-going. Updated sites are level, spacious, hard-packed gravel with 30/50 amp, H2O, sewer, picnic table and fire ring. Plenty of maneuvering room throughout the camping area so no worry for big rigs. Entire area nicely wooded with pines. Reservations not site specific. Some better than others but not a bad one in the bunch. One of two bath houses in operation. Relatively clean, decent water pressure, plenty of hot water, washer and dryer.
With easy access to I95, good stop over headed north or south. We were here Tuesday-Thursday, late Feb 18 and there were plenty of sites.
Primo base camp to enjoy area sites, kayaking, biking, and hiking.

This is the second time we have stayed at this park. We travel in a 45 motorhome plus a 23 ft car trailer. We were pleasantly surprised at the number of large pull through sites. The camp is heavily wooded. We enjoy our roof mount Direct satellite TV and found site #9 to be one of the few that we could access a signal through the trees. The camp is extremely well maintained and has a great staff. There are several miles of great nature trails which can be walked or biked. We did both. The camp is close to the water and has a great boatlaunch. The park is in progress of converting from a 30 amp service with no sewer to a 50 amp site with sewer. This would make it a 6 star resort once complete!!

Like the other reviews say- great campground.
If you camp many times in GA, do the "friends" pass. Worth the money spent!
