For R Campground: After experiencing tie trouble in Charles City Iowa we contacted R Campground to see about availability. The said they did and when we explained that we didn’t know when we would have our repairs done they said just call when you arrive . We did and were greeted graciously and given a spot with a view of the river and lake. Our spot had full hookup and we noticed that they had a number of spots with only electric by the river. It was quiet and peaceful and a great place to stay after a trying day.

For R Campground: This place is beautiful and very clean. The sites meander about the river and there is grass and trees. The area is nicely ensconced behind a neighborhood and borders the cedar river. We enjoyed a nice walk around the river. Unfortunately we are only staying overnight because we heard that there are some river rapids and a nice ride that terminates around the campground. I will certainly make a point to stop here again if I am nearby.

For R Campground: Nice overnight campground...very helpful staff. Very reasonable rate with PA. Would stay again if in the area.

Amy

For R Campground: Beautiful quiet campground with spots right along the river. In the back there is also a fishing pond and a few sites nestled between the river and pond. Pond says swim at your own risk and I would not be comfortable swimming there. There are different zones. We were in “outback” with the pond and river and there is lots of grass and some trees. It seemed nicer than the front sites. Our site #21 didn’t have a fire ring but we were only here one night and it was raining off and on. Biggest problem for us was mud. Not their fault it has been raining a lot but many sites had gone to mud. We had to switch sites because we were sinking so deep our levelers were submerged. Bathrooms were clean but smelled moldy. Hosts were really nice.

Linda

For R Campground: Beautiful park, River flows right next to it beautiful views of the river from most of the campsites. Lots of trees for shade, bike trail right next to the property separated by trees. Close to town, quiet. Sites have lots of grass, would definitely stay here again and for more Han the one night we have time for. Owners/mgmt are very nice, well maintained.
