For Independence City RV Park: Quiet park inside the city. We’re right next to the river. Walmart and another grocery store close by. We stayed two nights. We toured the Frank Lloyd Wright home nearby, Cedar Rock. Loved it! We ate at the Buttermilk Cafe in town. Delicious breakfast. $22 for full hookups with 50 amp. Nice gravel long site, we had a pull through, but grass for our puppy. Bath house is clean and well stocked. Nice paved walking trails throughout the city. Stop by the mill from the 1800s, wish it had been open while we were here.

For Independence City RV Park: I'd give it zero stars if I could. If you want to be verbally berated, stay in a dirty Campground, in a not so attractive city, this is the place for you. I came in late to the campground, which claims on there website to be a first come first serve Park. There were several available spaces at 9:30 at night, however there were specific overnight spots. While trying to find a space the 'alleged' campground host stopped me by their unit, and asked "What did I want?" I informed him I wanted to camp for a night. He then pointed to the space across from him and said it was available, even though it was not on the list. I pulled in and the electric box was on the passenger side, right by the road. I proceeded to tell the host about the awkwardness of the situation, since he was still standing there watching me. His response was all campers have the electric on the passenger side and why was mine different. I said I didn't think that was so...he then began to verbally berate me, become hostile and borderline violent. I asked him "why are you so hostile?" He then ordered me out of the campground and said to me "you must be higher than a kite" to which I replied "and after speaking with you, I think you're drunker than a skunk". Quite truthfully by this man's bizarre behavior, from the moment we came into the campground, I do think he was under the influence. Enter at your own risk at this place.
