For Lacey Keosauqua State Park: Wonderful campgrounds, hosts were friendly and available if you need anything, DNR drove through a few times, Sheriff drove through a couple times, beach was well kept. We will be back again for sure.

For Lacey Keosauqua State Park: We were looking for a place in the general area to break up a long drive that would allow us to do short hikes from camp. We're self contained and don't use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We stayed on a Sunday night in mid-October.

This is a nice campground. NOTE: The campground will be closed from April 1, 2018 through October 31, 2018 for renovations, so this review could be irrelevant next year. The CG was half full when we arrived as there had been a festival in a nearby town over the weekend. We were nearly alone by morning. The sites with electric and water are arrayed diagonally in 2 loops and are reasonably sized. The end sites and primitive sites were a bit larger. Parking is on gravel with grass separating the sites. The sites are fairly level, some are more shady or sunny. The shower was clean with ample hot water, yet old with plumbing issues and operated by a 15 second push button. There's no wifi. There was good Verizon cell coverage. ATT was on an extended network with cell coverage and no data. The camp host was friendly and helpful. Rates are lowered to $11 with electric/water in the off season.

There is a network of trails around Lacey Lake, to the Des Moines River and a bit further to Lake Sugema. There's a swim beach and (electric only) boat launch nearby.

For Lacey Keosauqua State Park: Nice quite campground.
We arrived late and vehicles parked across the road made it hard to get backed in.
The campground hosts followed us to our site and guided us back in to our site and were very friendly.
Campground was quite and we had a great time.
Hosts said the campground is being renovated after the end of the season this year.
Anxious to see the new campground when they're done!

For Lacey Keosauqua State Park: this is one of our favorite campsites. The town of Keosauqua is nearby and it is known for it's quiet and tranquility. The campsite is clean. Bathrooms are clean and very rustic. There is a children's playground and two lakes nearby. if you were wanting to get off the beaten path and camp this is a great campsite to do it.
