Sheila A

For KOA Journey Boise Meridian: We have stayed here twice this summer as we traveled to and from Oregon, one night in July and two nights in August. The sites are ok for a short stay and all amenities work (WiFi very weak however). But both times we have been uncomfortable with the other “guest”. First time a man, with two small dogs walked into our private pavilion(we had an upgrade), the dogs peed on the grass in our site and when I told him to leave our private area he chewed me out and said he has a “right to be there”. The second stay brought to our attention that there are LOTS of scary full timers, many with hateful bumper stickers and even more hateful/threatening window signage in their RV windows. Also loose dog from a full timer bothered our tethered dog at our site. So if these things don’t bother you, then this place is ok.

Tracy

For KOA Journey Boise Meridian: We were there for 2 nights. The people were nice and the temporary camping site was very clean and tidy. The sites slope slightly, but the lady at the front desk recommended parking as close to the sidewalk as possible and it helped. It is located across the freeway from a water park. We would definitely stay here again.

For KOA Journey Boise Meridian: Nice place to stay the night. Check in was easy and receptionist friendly. Internet was good (but we were near the clubhouse), area was clean and the evening was quiet. Would stay here again

CeeCee

For KOA Journey Boise Meridian: Nice place to spend a night. Park is in the middle of town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wifi was rather slow but did the job.

For KOA Journey Boise Meridian: Visiting family in Boise and had a breakdown, stayed 5 nights. Basically, a large gravel lot. Noisy with traffic. You can not receive mail here. Staff pretty unfriendly. WiFi quite poor. Our repairs were done earlier than expected and they would not refund any part of one night with 48 hour notice, and they were plenty busy. Also expensive, we paid $52 a night but there are not a lot of choices in the area. Mountain View in Boise is a great place, also noisy with traffic, still much better. I would go there.

Rushlakers

For KOA Journey Boise Meridian: We really wanted to give this park a better rating. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. They will pick up, refill, and return your propane tanks. They have a nice rec center. This park is the most expensive we have stayed at so far. Even with the very generous military/veterans discount. The free wifi was fast enough and had strong enough signal strength. But it would annoyingly kick us out far too often. The park seems to be at least 2/3 long termers. Do not stay in pull thru sites 2 through 7. There is a lot of early morning traffic from the north side of the park across the channel bridge. All that traffic goes right in front of those sites. And they all seem to either, need new mufflers, paid extra for noisy mufflers, or have older (louder) diesel trucks. Our site had a recessed sewer dump that we had to be careful not to dislodge gravel into when hooking/unhooking. The side street that the park is on dumps out to a very busy road with no traffic light.

For KOA Journey Boise Meridian: We stayed here for 9 nights while working in the Boise area. The park is very clean, well maintained and the staff is friendly and super helpful. Also, the park is close to the places you'd want to visit while in Boise. There's no question that we will stay here again when coming to Boise.

Pros:
Clean and well maintained
Fantastic staff
Close to the places in the Boise area you'd want to visit while in town.

Cons:
The park is right in Meridian, so there is a bit of traffic noise that some may find bothersome.
The park is located on a side street and can be hard to find without good directions.
We could not pick up the WiFi on any of our devices without our WiFi booster. With the booster,
the signal was good but the service is slow, so don't plan on streaming any videos ? .
Some of the back-in sites are really small. If your rig is more than, say, 26 feet try for a
pull-through site. They're still small but most can handle larger RV's.
