For Scott AFB FamCamp: Very easy reservation process over the phone. Outdoor Rec even called back to confirm the day of arrival. Info packet was posted on site pole. Backing in to our site was a little tight but the space itself was rather nice. Level asphalt with 30/50A service and water. Very quiet, the fam camp is on the back side of the base near the old north Wherry housing gate (the old housing was removed and the gate closed). Access the base via the main (North) gate as the back (South) gate is very tight to maneuver, even regular cars/trucks. Turn left at first light and follow Golf Course Road around the flight line. Go past the golf course and turn left at the stop sign (Pryor Rd.). There is no sign but make a right about .1 mi up Pryor Road. It is pretty hard to see during the spring/summer since the base has allowed the area to return to a natural state. Dump station was adequate with water and hose. The shower/restrooms were rather dirty, no desire to utilize. The laundry room was likewise...the facility itself seemed rather neglected. No wifi, but antenna picked up plenty of local stations. I believe the site was about $20/night. One night stay was rather nice considering most other area campgrounds required 2+ day stay over a holiday weekend. Would reserve again but not use the shower/laundry facility. We stayed in a 30' TT.

For Scott AFB FamCamp: Friendly staff helped with reservations over phone. Site had info packet there on our arrival. Roads into campground need repair. Minor litter on site when we arrived. The sites are nice. Good experience. We stayed here in a 17' travel trailer.
