For Geneseo Campground: This is a nice campground and I recommend it if traveling in the area. Level gravel sites. Very clean grounds and decent WiFi. Owners went out of their way to be helpful. Nearby town is nice and has good restaurants. Very quite and I enjoyed the stay.

James Pavlinik

For Geneseo Campground: Stayed here for the second time in October 2019. There aren't many "mom and pop" reasonable campgrounds around these days. Geneseo campground is entirely owned by Bob and Sheila. They are the most endearing campground owners we have met to date. The park borders the great Hennepin canal which runs for miles. There is a firm gravel path along side that is ideal for biking, walking or running. Voltage, wifi, and water were fine. This campground may not have all the amenities like a $50/night, or more campgrounds, but the owners really make the difference. The town of Geneseo is also very quaint with all the needs you could want, especially the fantastic doughnut shop on State Street. Some of the finest yet that I've tasted. Only open from 5AM till noon. Highly recommend the whole package.

BlueRidge

For Geneseo Campground: Nice campground, about 30 minutes to Quad Cities. The new owners (Sep. 2018) are great and making good improvements. Sites are decent size, nearly all pull-through FHU; campground is located right next to the Hennepin Canal, excellent for walking / biking / fishing / canoeing. Clean and spacious bathrooms / showers. Dog park 1 mile away. Quiet location. Be aware that GPS directions from south may take you under a 10’ bridge - pay attention to camping signs / truck route. Geneseo is a nice small town to explore also.

Jean

For Geneseo Campground: Great setting next to the Hennepin canal and the owners are delightful. Talented musicians, on Saturday nights they have a jam and entertain the campers. We had a ball! Reasonable rates, shaded sites, clean bathrooms.

Amy

For Geneseo Campground: Stayed in a lovely site right next to the path leading to a trail and the Hennepin canal. Great for walking the dogs and enjoying a night walk with Bullfrogs singing. Complete privacy from the walkway with green space. Nice host. There is a small splash pad but only appropriate for really little kids. Can rent 4 wheel bikes and fat tire 2 wheel bikes. Wood is $5 and they deliver to site.

Craig

For Geneseo Campground: Clean campground with pull through sites. Very quiet. Hennepin Canal on the south edge of campground has biking trail (104 miles)and has fishing. They rent canoes and kayaks for use on the canal but we didn't have time. We will be back.

Adam

For Geneseo Campground: Slept in a tent. They have a nice campground with many RV hookups. The showers are very nice and clean but unfortunately they are as far as can be from the tent sites. It was also rather expensive for a tent site ($22). They do allow after-hours registration so you can pull in any time of the day or night.
