For Comlara County Park: As others mentioned, the campground is a bit run down. But, we stayed mid-week in the summer and there were plenty of open sites. The lake nearby is pretty but probably better for fishing. I did not let my dog wander in lest I have to wash him off. Contrary to what another reviewer said, there are potable water spigots all around the campground, with many sites hooked up to a shared spigot. Not that many (if any) hiking trails right off the campground. There are more throughout the rest of the county park.

For Comlara County Park: Stayed here last night on our way to Florida. This time of year mostly icy and brown but still very nice for an overnight stop. Don’t believe water is available this time of year and not sure there the restrooms open either. But electric available and strong and cell service good as well. Large and fairly level sites. Would stay here again! $24/nite with electric. This is probably very nice in the summer.

For Comlara County Park: Big open spaces on a beautiful lake, but town down. Needs repair and maintenance. No potable water.

For Comlara County Park: Fabulous county park. We showed up for one night, and there are no reservations. But this is no problem as the campground was 4/5 deserted. The sites are large and most are shaded. We got one right by the river. True, the dump and the water or Central, but electricity is provided and in this 92° heat is most welcome. A beautiful and inexpensive park.

For Comlara County Park: Great park. Nice big sites and easy to get in. there are some pull throughs and many back ins. all sites are nice and big for most campgrounds and have firepits all for a reasonable rate. It's close to the freeway so easy for an overnight stay too which is what we did, so didn't do a lot of exploring. Plenty or room for big rigs.

For Comlara County Park: We are big fans of county and city parks, particularly in the midwest. This is the best one we have ever been in. This park is huge and beautifully laid out. It is a great place to ride bikes and walk dogs. The day use area is gorgeous with big spacious picnic areas and a boat ramp. The sites have lots of room between them and some beautiful trees. We will always stay here if we come back through. The power and water worked great. The lake is beautiful.
