For Citizens Lake Campground: We have stayed here twice but this time host accused us of backing into water sticker then leaving and hiding the camper!! We did not hit this and we left campground and parked our camper at a relatives private lot because my hubby got a job which took us out of state and no campground to our new location which I explained this all to the host before we left. Plus the city wants to charge us $600 to fix the problem any they are shady people I wouldn't recommend to stay there u may get blamed for something!!

For Citizens Lake Campground: Full hookups at all the sights, nice! Traffic noise is atrocious! Earplugs are a must unless you prefer being awakened by 18 wheelers , Harley’s and every other dual exhaust lead foot driven vehicle! I was told when I booked my stay that traffic noise was not an issue. Absolutely not the case!

For Citizens Lake Campground: If you like small, quaint, quiet campgrounds, this Is the one for you. We stay here every summer for about a week while in town visiting family.

Don't expect much, as there is no campground store or other amenities. There is public fishing as well as a city pool right next to the campground, and a small convenient store with gas within 1/2 mile.

There is also a steakhouse called Cerars Barnstormer nearby. If you do nothing else, you must eat there.
