For Louisville North Campground: They advertise "closest park to Louisville" and that's right, and easy access from I-65. Spaces are narrow (like 16 feet) and many of the pedestals are right in the middle of the spots, so bring long hoses and cords. If you get a pullthrough space in the middle row, you may have difficulty exiting as the internal roads are quite narrow. Good wifi strength, and throughput is OK except maybe evenings. OK cell with VZ and T-mobile. Nice big shade trees. Showers are clean, hot, have good pressure, a place to sit to change, and decent curtains that keep the water where it belongs. Gettin' expensive, like $40, but everyone's price is up. Eat breakfast or lunch at Geraldine's Kitchen; take some takeout food to the riverfront at the bottom of Spring Street.

For Louisville North Campground: Lots of dogs pooping all over and owners not picking up. Spots are very small, on top of next one over. Doesnt seem family friendly alot of workers here. Worst of all they have vandals here. Feel unsafe for property. Right on railroad track. Pulling out asap.

For Louisville North Campground: The pits. Packed in like sardines. Very difficult getting out if you have a large rig. Posting this Sept 2020 - would avoid Louisville all together. We did not feel safe, especially downtown even around Churchill Downs & the museums, which were closed because of China virus. My husband was almost hit by a young guy in a pickup - on purpose. Had he not stepped back, he would have been. Will never go back!

For Louisville North Campground: If you have to drive through Louisville, this is a good stopover, right off I-65 just north of the Indiana-Kentucky border. So it’s actually in Indiana, but if you want to visit Louisville, you are in the right place. Not in a scenic location by any stretch, but this is a decent and safe campground that has been around for decades. Family owned and they are very nice and accommodating. Sites are gravel and level with many pullthroughs. BUT, they are very very narrow so with slide outs be very mindful of the electrical posts and water spigots as you pull in. Go outside and assess the situation before you settle in. We barely had room for a slideout with the neighbors hookups right up against it. To avoid clashing, the hookups were right next to our steps. The campground offers a convenience store with many RV stuff and they also have gas/diesel pumps conveniently located before you leave. Wifi is decent. Honors good sam. They also rescue cats and you can leave a donation to help them out.

For Louisville North Campground: The spaces are cement and fairly level but very close to each other. The electric box is in the middle of the pad requiring us to borrow an extension cord from the office. We plugged in to a 50amp spot but the right side of our RV had no power....😔. The staff was very nice.

Big Blue

For Louisville North Campground: Great location to Louisville and very nice staff. Easy on and off 65 and 31. We stayed 4 nights because of rain. 45 foot with tow, level site and great WIFI. Even though you are near interchange and train track no noise to complain about.

For Louisville North Campground: We stayed in the rustic camping area with no hook ups. This is a beautiful camping area with large hardwood shade trees next to the river. Our stay was in late October and the campsite was very empty and quiet (paid 19 per night). There is a wash house with bathrooms and showers. The wash house is pretty run down and reminded me of summer camp. Showers were warm and bathrooms reasonably clean. Staff was very kind and polite. Full hook up area is a parking lot, very different from the beautiful rustic area.
