Clarence A

For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: The camp site were assigned was a concrete slab pull through. The water and electricity were located on the opposite side at the very rear of the coach. This requires over 50 feet of water hose and 45 feet of electrical cable to supply water and electricity to your RV. The sewer was on the appropriate side and in the middle of the slab(as it’s supposed to be). The cost was $35 per night for the pull through and $30 per night for back-in. There is little to no phone reception, no cable tv, no over the air reception. All facilities including Fort Knox facilities are at least 10 miles distance from camping ground. There’s better options in the area in state parks and civilian camp grounds when they are available.

KyReseve

For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: It is decent for the price but somewhat unkempt. The grass is overgrown in the playgrounds, volleyball pits and the lawn areas. What is mowed must be done with dull blades. The laundry/ shower building is clean inside but covered in webs outside. The bridge near the bat cave is in disrepair. The trail around the lake is overgrown. There are some nice cabins and a beautiful event space overlooking the lake.

Gone With the Woods

For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: Nice park. Grassy level spots. Nice showers. Laundry room is clean with several washers and driers, $1 each. No WiFi, no tv channels but we don't mind.

Bill

For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: I'm retired military, and one has to be connected with the military to use this site (I love that). My grandkids loved it as much as I did. True, no wifi, so I brought my own. We had a great time at the tent site. All kinds of things are nearby. We'll make this our home campground for weekend camping.

Diana

For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: Nice rec. area. No WiFi even though they claim they have it. No cell phone coverage. Only a few antenna channels on occasion but you go camping to get away from it all.
Dragon lady working at the check-in. Older thin woman needs a new job where she doesn't have to work with people or get overwhelmed. Nice lake. Nice bathrooms and showers. Lots of trees. Definately get reservations.

Brenda

For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: Nice campground, we only spent a night. Easy to find. We have Verizon cell service and had no service, but we were able to send a text about 1/2 mile away from campground. Camphost could not help us connect to WiFi, but other campers said the WiFi didn't work. We got 6 TV stations on our antenna (none were major network channels). The bathhouse, rec-room, & laundry room were clean and functional. We wanted to stay more than a night, but realized how hard life is without connectivity

Melody

For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: The CG is in a depression so cell service is poor and wifi does not work. This is a big hit in a world where connectivity is important for banking and communications. Hookups all worked well. The dog run was a nice feature. There is a lake to fish in and trails to hike. The laundry room had new machines and were just $1 each. Sites were roomy with grass and trees to make it feel "woodsy." Picnic table and BBQ at each site. There is a gorgeous lodge to rent on the lake. All in all, a great CG (except for wifi).
