For KOA Holiday Horse Cave: It appears most sites do not have sewer. Our site was not level requiring me to get out the leveling equipment. Nearly all of the sites are gravel. Without sewer hookups the dump station is literally on the side of a hill. In order to get to it I’d have to leave the park to turn around and come back in up a hill where I’d be parked uphill while dumping. I decided the tanks can make it to our next location On the positive side the staff is friendly were accommodating when we asked to change sites. Easy access from I65. Not far from Mammoth Cave NP.

For KOA Holiday Horse Cave: One of the worst services and customer service KOAs we’ve stayed at. We have 76,000 points at KOAs we’re full timers and we primarily stay at KOAs. The manager told us we can’t use points for one night stays because you might cancel and we can’t get your points back. First off, you can only use them at check-In not while making reservations. My wife pointed this out. Then the story changed to “you can use them for only one night.” Another lie. You can use them for stays longer than 27 days. Called the KOA Customer Support line (+1-888-562-0000) and they are contacting the campground on the rules and how to credit our account. Weveill see.

Buffalo Bills Camper

For KOA Holiday Horse Cave: This trip was during their winter schedule on 11/21/2019 and I also arrived after hours. The pull-thru site was nice but the problem I had was actually getting to the site. Ford F-350 pulling a 44ft 5th wheel. They left the site map and marked it up on how to get to the site. Pulling the camper alone, with their trees and tight turns I won’t lie, frustrations on how to really get to the campsite we’re very high. I did it but probably took an hour. There was a nice small town just a few minutes away where a local place had a very nice Italian/ pizza buffet. I only stayed one night as a pit stop on my way to Dallas. I would stay here again, but hopefully in the summer.

For KOA Holiday Horse Cave: We checked in after hours and there was a sitemap and site# ready for us on the front door. Our site was a pull through which we managed to find in the dark..the street lamps weren't all lit so it was hard to find the proper road. The site has a tree on it which prevented us from extending our awning. The site was level. The water connection was pretty far away so we were glad we had another water hose to extend the city water connection. Not much to do during the winter at this campground. The highway noise might bother some folks but we weren't bothered. Only 3 over the air TV stations available. Wifi was intermittent service.
