For Camp Nelson RV Park: Made reservations but they couldn’t find them. After about 20 mins Jim found us a site. It had been raining so there was lots of mud. Pad was gravel and fairly level. More gravel is needed as between pads was muddy. Power pole was surrounded by mud and poor design as it was at the front instead of closer to our plug. I would not say there was much for kids to do except the pool. Volleyball nets were mud as were old looking swings. One basketball hoop in a slightly grass area. Bath house was always clean. Surprised by motion sensor showers that you could not control temperature. Jim was the only employee we saw as we were gone most days. Need a better reservation system and pre-payment ability. Park needs cleaning up of permanent residents area and stricter rules for keeping their pads/lots cleaner. Loop road needs more gravel.

For Camp Nelson RV Park: I disagree with prior review regarding conditions. Paved road to campground, hard gravel loop around the property, none of the rvs were mired in mud.(November 17.) True that most campers were semipermanent.

For Camp Nelson RV Park: This is the worst Campground I have ever attempted to stay at. It had been raining it was so muddy you couldn't get backed into the campsite. There was no gravel any place. Tried twice almost got stuck glad I had four wheel drive lot of long-term campers they were friendly could clean the place up a little bit. One camper had pallets laid down so they could get to their camper without walking in the slime. The only thing this place has going for it is the help they were friendly.
