For Kentucky Horse Park: Made a big mistake by stopping here on October 9. The office was not open although we arrived 15 minutes before posted closing time. We set up in the overflow lot and waited until morning to check in. The real surprise came when they told us there was a 5 day minimum because it was “Halloween “ season!! October 9? Anyway we had to pay $163.75 to stay at a place we had only planned on staying for 1-2 nights max. Plus if we move our unit we are not guaranteed a spot even though we have paid for it. (Unlike the reserved sites who only pay $2 more per night. In the future I will skip this park and Lexington. I might just skip Kentucky altogether!!

For Kentucky Horse Park: This was our second stay here. Just overnight but still an enjoyable stay. Most spots are pave and fairly level. Park is well kept and staff is always helpful and friendly. Great stop for extended stay or overnight stop. Especially if you are a horse lover!

For Kentucky Horse Park: Lovely grass park. Nice to ride bikes around too. We have a small rig and it was great. If the park is full they have primitive parking that I think is even more attractive because it is more spread out.

For Kentucky Horse Park: We camped here for 3 nights while on our way north after wintering in the south. Yep, snowbirds & full-timers. I had selected & reserved a site online well in advance, and we arrived, found our site in the "B" loop and checked in at the Store/Office. Nice folks. Once we began setting up in earnest, it became clear that our site had a lot of slope back-to-front and side-to-side. Our 42' 5th wheel has automatic leveling, and I had to use all of my additional blocks for the jacks and wheels on the front & low side. Paved, yes. Level, no?in fact the most un-level site I've ever had. Looking around the loops, there are some sites that are far more level, and also many with a lot of slope. I need to ding them for that. Sewer would be nice, but we knew that coming in and there are two nice dump stations. 50 amp electrical was proper & reliable, and the water pressure was great. The bath house in the "B" loop was closed for renovations, so that's another sticking point. All in all, I think this park has some merit, but if I roll in again I'll want to eyeball the available sites first. Safe travels!

For Kentucky Horse Park: Agree with a previous review, the sites are narrow and at a right angle to the road, so be OK with tight back-ups or your wheels will go off the pavement onto the grass. Not sure how the big rigs do it, hope I get that good someday!

For Kentucky Horse Park: Wonderful place, no full hookups but large spaciousness sites.

For Kentucky Horse Park: Stopped here over night in our fifth wheel. Sites are large back-ins, with pads are narrow with not much of an apron. As a result, you cannot park a sizable rig without running over the grass. Due to this, most sites have ruts along the roads at the front of the sites. We were there in the spring, though, so perhaps this may not be such an issue during the summer when the ground is firmer. Beyond that, this is a great place to camp, especially with kids. We are already planning a return trip in July with our kids and grandkids.
