For Jenny Wiley State Resort: What a mess. No rules. Park anywhere, camp anywhere and let the kids loose. Sites are generally small and unlevel. Bring lots of leveling blocks. Best thing for Kentucky to do is to rip it out and start over. We won’t be back. Oh yeah, dump station is broken too!

For Jenny Wiley State Resort: 10/18-10/21/20
Very adequate KyState Park. Felt run-down and tired. Bathrooms need updated but again adequate. Seemed like quite a few more permanent trailers were there with no-one in them, at least during weekdays. Beautiful vistas, nice lodge, lake. Had lunch at lodge, pretty avg food. Couple nice golf courses near. We visited ScienceCenter andPlanetarium at the college in Prestonsburg. Site C84, $23

For Jenny Wiley State Resort: We had a reservation here for only one night while passing through the area, although it was Memorial Day weekend (and getting one day on a holiday weekend took an hour phone call, even though the site showed available for Sunday only). When we arrived, the place was chaos. Someone was in our site, but not there. They offered us another site (which was not at the end like the one we reserved), which was sandwiched between a ton of people and even more errantly parked cars. We ended up leaving. There were clearly no rules being enforced and we didn’t want to find out what the night would bring. On a positive note, they refunded my payment.
