For Fort Boonesborough State Park: I arrived in the pouring rain…no one was at the gate to check me in, I eventually found my site and there was a picnic table right in the middle of the parking pad. I had to get out in the rain with my umbrella and move the picnic table off the pad. There was a little tag attached to the electrical box that had my name on it, so somebody knew I was gonna be here??‍♀️ Then, I’m right across from the bathhouse and it is completely locked up with no signs that it’s out of order. I called the park and they advised me that it was closed and the only bathhouse open is in the middle of a campground. This is an expensive state park that I won’t be coming back to.

For Fort Boonesborough State Park: Extremely clean (and air conditioned!) bathrooms. We asked to be moved to a quieter site (road noise) and were accommodated. Family oriented, quite clean,

For Fort Boonesborough State Park: Very nice clean campground but very loud. There is a rock quarry beside the campground and the main road runs along the campground. The regular traffic along with the dump trucks jake breaks are incredibly loud.

Sharon G

For Fort Boonesborough State Park: Nice park near historic Fort Boonesborough. Sites are mostly open sunny, some shaded, sites fairly close together. Clean. Walking distance to historic fort recreation and river. Nice for kids to enjoy.
