For Middle Fork - Natural Bridge State Resort Park: It’s all about the location; not the camping. Choose your site carefully. The water and electric connections may be on the wrong side of your site. Most sites are not for big rigs, but several fifth wheels squeezed themselves in. We we in 22, one of the pull throughs. It is 43’ long. Only the smallest TT & TV would fit in line. Fortunately we had a gravel area where we could put our truck. Other sites do not. Rest rooms adequate but not very nice. A good but if truck exhaust brake noise on the road in the daytime . Overall it is fine if you are here to enjoy the Red River Gorge.

For Middle Fork - Natural Bridge State Resort Park: We stayed in the Middle Fork portion of the NBSP campground. It is beautiful!! There’s scenery on either side and a stream running through the middle. It’s close to many trails. We were able to bike a back road to many trailheads. We loved it! This is an older campground. So, the water and electric aren’t always on the same side or the right side of the campers or even close enough. However, William, the camp host for the grounds at check-in, was super accommodating. He was okay with us pulling-in straight rather than backing-in… whatever way we could get to what we needed he said was okay. I would suggest taking an extra hose and even an extension cord just in case. William also served as a kind of “concierge.” He helped us figure out where everything was in the state park and if we could drive or bike. He was incredibly helpful and made our stay much more comfortable. Highly recommend this campground!

For Middle Fork - Natural Bridge State Resort Park: We stayed at Middle Fork Campground (lower section of Whittleton) at Natural Bridge State Resort Park for 2 days at $18/day, which was a bargain for electric/water hookup. Perhaps the low cost has something to do with the way everything layout in this campground? The electric/water hook ups were on the wrong side of RV/trailer, dump station is on the opposing traffic, rain drainage was none existence as any moisture collected above are being seeping out across multiple sites below. Our site#6 was closed to the comfort station, which was a bit dated, but showers, toilets, and sinks were clean and functional. Sites here will need leveling blocks to make it right. There are also primitive sites right next to a creek running on one side and warning of flash flood on the other side. Since the entire campground just below Hwy 11, car noise could be a problem for light sleepers. OTA TV has 12 digital channels. No WiFi reception inside this valley, weak LTE/3G here but one can get free TengoInternet at picnics area and near cottages. If not for Natural Bridge formations, Red River Gorge, Nada Tunnel nearby, we wouldn’t think we stay as long as we did.
