Nico's review was spot on! Pretty remote and isolated but rangers do come thru regularly. Just a heads up, the water pump has been removed for whatever reason.
Update on my review. Turns out this is yet another campground that has been coopted by locals. By Saturday there was like a 100 people here just parked everywhere. Blared music all day long and had concert level karaoke until 1:00 in the morning and drunk carrying on til dawn. No rangers on the weekend. I plan on contacting the district superintendent but I suspect they already know what's going on here. I'm sure will it end up a hosted pay site soon. Sad

I took my 20' camper trailer out there and had a great time. Cumberland river looks like a hike to get to but I may not have done enough exploring. The campsite was awesome. Nice and clean and very big spots to set up. The road there was a little rough but not hard to drive.
