Ramblin Michigander

For Mardi Gras Campground: Pros: level sights. Full hookup w/ sewer. Gate locks at night (key card for access). Price is decent

Cons: Located off a busy highway and a less than desirable area. There were bees inside the electrical boxes of the first sites I tried.

All in all, an ok place to stay for a short time if you just need a place to plug in and sleep. Definitely not a high class park but you get what you pay for.

Blunderbuss

For Mardi Gras Campground: Cons: This is NOT a resort. It is located on a main highway and backs up to another. It's behind a sleazy looking hotel. There is traffic noise

Pro: they lock the gate at night (you get a key card). The sites are flat and there are full hook-ups including sewage. It is 2 blocks from a city bus ($1.25/$.40 for seniors with a Medicare card) that gets you into downtown very quickly. If you lock up at night, it's not a bad place to stay for $25.99 a night ($23.00 for seniors) the laundry is clean and $3.00 for wash and dry per load)
