For Camp Coldbrook RV Resort: Sadly Camp Coldbrook Colf and RV resort is not what you would expect. It is a rundown trailer park. The sites are cramped into a very small area. They are not maintained. The roads are impassable. There’s no resort at this place. Pools are not open or working. Golf is questionable half the time. There’s nothing good to be said about it. I recommend you do not even attempt to stay here.

For Camp Coldbrook RV Resort: Do not make a reservation here unless you go see the place first. Sites make no sense, hook-ups not placed as they should be and overall worse sites we have seen. The entire place is in disrepair and apparently no maintenance being done. We found the third site on our own, the only out of three that we fit on. (24’ Class C). When we told the office they said we hope that is the last “move” and we hadn’t been on site yet. We had 2 nights, left after one forfeiting our payment. Until work is done there, go elsewhere.

MikeD

For Camp Coldbrook RV Resort: I’ve been RVing for 5 years, and this is the worst campground I have ever seen. We reserved it months ago based on their deceptive website. The first red flag is that they required payment in full at the time of the reservation. After a 1-hour drive to the compground, the red flags waved even stronger. The landscape was unkempt, the “kiddie” pool was empty and in disrepair. We checked in and were given the site “Tulip 8.” As we tried to find the site using a map that didn’t resemble reality, we saw that the roads were nearly impassable, the lots were full of 20 year old seasonal sites covered in mold and mildew, and there were large dogs penned up in front of campers. We could not find our lot, so we called the office. They sent a guy up who also could not find the site. He led us to Tulip 3, which had a broken picnic table and the fire pit set up near a seasonal site with its full size Susquach cutout. The place did not seem safe for a family. We told the guy we were leaving. When we got to the office, the attendant was already on the line with “corporate,’ and told us in a very rehearsed way, “we do not issue refunds for early departures.” We had not even been to a site and we were considered an early departure. We asked for a way to contact “corporate” to ask for a refund and were given a non-working email address. You should never consider this campground.

Maybe be back

For Camp Coldbrook RV Resort: The park does seem like it is run down. The utilities are good on our site. There are only (3) 50 amp sites in the entire park. There are a ton of seasonal sites here. People seem polite. Do agree that you need to drive everywhere because of the steep hills. Also there needs to be more bathrooms and dumpsters. There is only the one dumpster for the entire campground. Since we are here on a holiday weekend it is pretty busy but cleared out quickly. The traffic pattern is a little strange when you are pulling a 42’ fifth wheel. We had one of the largest sites and were guided in by the owner which was very nice. It has the potential to be a nice campground but they need to do a lot of work. I think they really need to work on the roads in the campground since they are pretty rutted.

DaVida

For Camp Coldbrook RV Resort: Mostly seasonals, older rigs, rutted, steep roads. Our site sewer was high above ground, a rock for a lid. Bathhouses at ends of park, not close, showers as bad as previous reviewer described. Laundry available 24-7, $2/load, flickering overhead lights made the wait unbearable. Only dumpster is behind maintenance area, awkward to access, no recycle. Locals said years ago, this truly WAS a resort with first class chef, but it’s certainly declined. The road into the park is potholed & narrow. I’ll find another park/campground if ever in the area again.

FaniB

For Camp Coldbrook RV Resort: Coming in, this looked like a pretty spot - golf course, 2 swimming pools, lovely little park-like settin below, with hookups. We asked for just water and electric, and the gal at the end of the counter said, “give them site 23”, to which the young lady helping us replied, “but, they just want water and electricity”. So, we paid $63 for a full hookup, because they did not seem willing to engage with us in selecting a better site. We were led down past all the beautiful sites to a spot in the midst of what looked like a rustic mobile home park. It just felt uninviting, and we were not at all tempted to go outside our 24 foot trailer. In the morning we used the laundry and showers, which you have to drive to, because they’re about 1/3 mile up the hill. The laundry was $2.00 a wash, and $2.00 a dry, but worked okay. The showers were tiny, with only a “loincloth” for privacy, one hook to be shared between the showers, no benches, about the worst I’ve seen, in 2 years, at an expensive private campground! You could not pay me enough to stay here again. If you like golfing and swimming, and want to hunker down in one spot for 6 months, it looked fairly reasonable, about $2,000 a season, but utilities and cable and internet all cost you more.

Janet E

For Camp Coldbrook RV Resort: Okay place; not close to anything. Staff took us the wrong way to our site; got us down a hill to an area we had a heck of a time getting our 5th wheel out. Not happy about that. Had beer stolen from our site; lock things down.
