For Andrews AFB FamCamp: I found this place very comfortable a well kept. I had read previous reviews and was aware of those coming here and I just don't get those complaints. Internet is always bad at campgrounds, it's part of camping. The staff, I find them prideful of the campground and expect everyone to take care of their spot, if your a alone they are not afraid of leaving a notice (I have not received any). It's ine of the nicest camps I have stayed at, I'll out Wright Patterson at the top (only because I think it was newer). Lots of spaces, we have a full hookup with concrete slab. It's close to DC metro so it was perfect for what we were looking for. Well done Andres Fam Camp!

For Andrews AFB FamCamp: NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY CAMP!!! We stayed 7 days at this camp and if I weren't traveling by myself with my 5 homeschooled children I would have left the "FamCamp" on day 2 of being here. The management is over the top strict. There are signs posted everywhere that children must be supervised at all times. We arrived to camp ariund 10pm the first night, the next morning my 4 year old and I walked to the bath house to use the restroom. He finished before me and was washing his hands, the manager flew in and started yelling at him that he needed to be with an adult and was not allowed in the bathroom alone. I hollered from the stall that I was almost finished and he was being supervised. Later that day as I was unloading bins and setting up camp and I left 1 black tote outside my RV and the manager knocked on my door and lectured me about cleaning up around my site, that Obama golfed every weekend on post and the secret service would lock me in my trailer if they couldn't see underneath all areas?! This was for ONE storage tub people!! Then today I apparently was going over the 5mph speed limit (my truck idles high and I was at 7mph) and when we returned home there was a "second warning" notice that I was over the speed limit taped to my door. Not sure what happens after that, and luckily I won't be finding out because we leave tomorrow. I've heard awesome things about Camp Meade and being super friendly and laid back with children. I highly highly recommend NOT staying here if you are not over the age of 65!!!

For Andrews AFB FamCamp: I give it one star for the base commissary alone. The camp site says it has wifi but it will not work on any of our devices and we are the closest to the office where the only routers are located. It is directly next to the golf course and we have found 3 errant golf balls next to our rv now, any of which could have got our rv and/or worse, hit our children in the head! Will not return to this famcamp

Rick

For Andrews AFB FamCamp: The camp was easy to get into, I pull a 38 foot fifth wheel with a extended cab pick up and had no problems with the turns or gates. The pads are concrete and level, the staff friendly and helpful. Only about 3 miles from the metro which takes you to all the sights (plus a little walking). The facilities on this joint base are excellent, BX and commissary are well stocked and easy to find, the base pool is very nice.

Cajun Cracker

For Andrews AFB FamCamp: We loved our stay at Andrews AFB . Our site was gravel and levelers were needed. We found the office staff very helpful and friendly. The laundry was coin but worked well, on base amenities were great. The campground "host" was pretty rude and seemed to be on a power trip but he also treated the staff pretty poorly. Hopefully thy will get a good host in the future. We camped with 3 dogs and found it to be very dog friendly.the rule is the they do not want dogs walked on the golf course. They have a small off leash dog park. We camped in a motor coach.

For Andrews AFB FamCamp: Nice park. Pads are gravel and not level. We enjoyed the park the location on base. We were not impressed with the workers. They seemed to make up rules as they went. Had one yell across the park at me. They are not pet friendly. There guidelines are clearly stated, however, they change depending on who is working

For Andrews AFB FamCamp: MUST enter with RV through the gate offPearl Harbor Drive- the same gate all delivery trucks go thru. RVs seem to get the priority at that gate. Very good info at FAMCAMP for the local area attractions, also how to get taxis from off base. Very clean facilities, friendly folks. Pet free roam enclosure also there.
