For Cherry Hill Park: The folks that work here are either super nice or super rude. I emailed and asked for rates for my husband, myself and our 16 YO. I explained my husband was receiving treatment at Walter Reed and we would be staying for a few months. The quote for the month was 1500$. However, when we arrived the manager(extremely rude) said that because we have a teenager(she seems to not like teens) that it would cost extra. When I told her what the email said she said it will be $1600. I also called to ask about the wifi. My daughter is in online school due to my husband's injuries and our moving around a lot now, I was assured the wifi works great. However, when it goes down and my daughter calls to let them know it is down, the manager explains she is using too much bandwidth. So my daughter explained she hasn't been able to get on all morning and she was told she must have exceeded her volume for the day?!?!?! What??? Then she is told to go to the wifi in the cafe but when she gets there, the wifi isn't working there. My husband finally called and the guy comes out, resets it and everything is fine. This has happened in various scenarios 6 times in 15 days.
We then have adult children coming to visit their dad while receiving treatment and inquired about tent sites....the ones always empty.....45$ a night??? I am already paying 1600$ for the month?!?! So we got a back of the truck tent....If Andrews was only a tad bit closer, we would stay there. They are so nice and accommodating. But it can take 1.25 hrs to get from Walter Reed to that base during traffic, which seems to be more often than not. Ugh.....
That being said, there are a couple of really nice people here, the man at the gate is always a pleasure to see smile after a long day dealing with Drs!!

For Cherry Hill Park: Check in process was long. Long line and Girl that waited on us was completely disinterested and just rattled off memorized info that we really couldn't tell what she was saying. Store seemed like they had nice large selection. As expected camp sites are tight. But grounds seem somewhat unkept. Grass extremely weedy and long. Picnic table was nice. Very disengenuous claim of having a heated pool. Pool looked nice but note that their heated pool was heated by solar panels. For non summer months that means essentially the pool is unheated. Having cafe on property is nice and food was ok. Laundry room was probably the best we have seen. Large industrial sized machines and very clean. As full time RVers we have been to many campgrounds and would call this one just ok. However, their price (62 a night) is about 20 too high for this park. That said, they have absolutely no competition as their are no parks in tje DC area, so I dont imagine they have a hard time getting that

For Cherry Hill Park: Cable never worked, wifi is useless if you want to download anything, our site had 5 piles of dog poop on it upon our arrival. On the positive side, very convenient to metro station. We advise driving and parking there for $5.10 per day. For the dollar or 2 extra, the convenience and time were worth it. Staff very helpful getting you where you want to go. They also provide typed instructions you can take with you as a reference. Very helpful indeed!! If you don't have a tow vehicle the bus stop on site is wonderful. Be sure to check out DC Circulator buses. No one told us about it. It's $1.00, on and off, 5 different routes around the city. Also, buy the metro smartrip card. Worth the $2.00 fee per card. You use it on metrobus, subway, and dc circulator.

For Cherry Hill Park: Three water areas for the kids one is heated. Landry are good, both have very large washer and dryers. City and Gray bus's stop at office DC transit system is very ease to use. Monday to Friday at 4:00 pm at the ballroom a speaker gives a talk on all tours and how to get around DC on transit. We used the dog walker and was very pleased. The bathhouse's are clean and nice. We will stay here again. The office has a RV parts store and grocery store. The office staff are nice helpful.

For Cherry Hill Park: Great campground, well situated & setup to serve D.C. Tourists!

Friendly, helped us get to the Metro & back home. The sell tickets for the best tours of D.C. And the bus picks you up at their campground and brings you back! They even have classes on how to get to touristy places and back home using public transportation.

Good shower, bathrooms, laundry facilities. Well tended, secure, well kept sites.

We will go there again if in D.C.

For Cherry Hill Park: Nice park, spots are a little too tight; neighbors are close. When we arrived, our neighbors were connected to the cable for our site. We are 43' + 10' patio; 5th wheel. Pads were clearly paved with RR ties & pea gravel. Our site had a nice brick patio. They use Tengo internet & it was spotty & unreliable. No streaming audio or video possible. We stayed 7 days; Oct 2014.

mmbuster

For Cherry Hill Park: Great campground to stay when visiting the DC area. Clean, friendly, helpful, flexible about length of stay, all services and items available on site. Only negative is that the sewer hookups should be screened from the adjacent sites and the adjacent site fire rings need to be relocated farther away from the sewer hookups. Our stay was in August of 2014
