For Camden Hills State Park: Good location but that’s the only plus. The sites are NOT close to level. The shower house is old and outdated. Cell service is minimal and they charge an additional $3/day for WiFi on top of the nearly $50 site rate! The roads are narrow and badly rutted. Would not return

For Camden Hills State Park: Think it’s more a 3.5 or 3.75 for ranking. It is called Camden HILLS for a reason. The sites are hilly and difficult to get level but are nicely spaced and well trees. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our short stay. I would recommend this campground, just bring lots of leveling blocks.

For Camden Hills State Park: Well spaced campsites in 2 heavily forested loops, with electric/water ($49/night) in only one of the loops. A narrow one-way road through the campground. Restrooms with free hot showered were clean, well-maintained. Hiking options are endless with amazing, sometimes panoramic views of the Camden area, and all the way to Acadia. Great scenic drive up Mt Battie. After 9/12-ish, campsites are first come-first serve. We called the day before to see how full the campground was - and the super friendly folks assured us that we would have no trouble finding a spot with hook-ups. We loved it! Would definitely return.

For Camden Hills State Park: Wooded sites nice. Bathrooms a little old decided to use our campers instead. Nice ride up the mountain for the view. Pricey for state park - almost $50 but they do have water and electric. Close to Camden harbor

For Camden Hills State Park: TERRIBLE check in experience. Arrived with a reservation and when we checked in we were told our site had been moved to the lawn/grassy field. Absolutely not what we wanted and no help trying to find an alternative location. Customer service awful so we left and stayed elsewhere.

For Camden Hills State Park: We only stayed one night, in a 24 foot travel trailer. Our site had no privacy between us and on neighbors on one side of us. Didn’t check out the restrooms. Had decent Verizon coverage. Close to Mt Battie for views of Penobscot Bay. Stopped in Camden, and had beers at The Sea Dog Brewery! Recommend it for beers and food! Camden is a beautiful little town and harbor. If you come here, don’t use gps, the entrance is right off of Route 1!

For Camden Hills State Park: Really liked this campground. Not far from the road but not a lot of noise. Site was ALMOST level. Wifi ok, not great. Lots of great hiking trails. Bath house clean. Easy access.
