For Cobscook Bay State Park: Just spent three days at Cobscook State Park. This is our second visit to the park. I believe this is the jewel of the Maine State Park system. We registered at the last moment online and we able to get a waterfront site (Site 5). If you can get it, Site 8 is the best. Strong cell phone reception on the AT & T network. The park was pristine, the sites are private, and the park rangers are friendly and helpful. There is much to see and do in the area. A trip to Lubec and a trip across the bridge to Canada and Campobello Island was very easy and enjoyable. At a small restaurant in Wilson’s Beach, we saw three humpback whales swim by. I’m looking forward to yearly returns to the park.

For Cobscook Bay State Park: We just returned from three glorious days at the park. We were lucky to find a waterfront site at the last minute. We had site five. Site eight is the absolutely best with an almost 270 degree of water and amazing privacy. The park is laid out such that you are relatively distant from neighboring campers. Bring your kayak because there is abundant water to explore. We took a trip to Campobello Island to tour the FDR summer cottage. Must-see and it is free! We had lunch at a small restaurant on Wilson’s Beach and spotted three humpback whales while enjoying our delicious lobster rolls. Lots of mosquitos but nothing Off couldn’t overcome. While a bit off the beaten path, this is definitely one of Maine’s premier camp grounds.

For Cobscook Bay State Park: We enjoyed a tremendous 3 days at Cobscook Bay In late September. We had reservations for the handicap site which was on the water. The campground staff members were helpful and courteous. I was expecting bugs, however, there were none. It was great walking around the campground. The views of the bay were awesome. A trip to Lubec revealed a delightful little town. We also visited Quoddy Lighthouse and the hiking trails around the park and down on the rocky beaches were breathtaking. This is definitely one of the nicest state parks in Maine and well worth a visit. We will return.

For Cobscook Bay State Park: Agree with the previous reviewer. Please take down the silly review of this great state park. We have stayed here many times and it’s a jewel. Beautiful sites. Well maintained and well run. Staff has always been helpful and courteous. Really well designed when constructed years ago. Almost every site is a good one. Yes, they are state workers and no, they are not going to let you do do whatever you want just because you think it’s ok. That is a good thing.

For Cobscook Bay State Park: Best of the Maine State Parks we've seen so far. Bay views are awesome, and there are many, many sites right on the water's edge. You're welcome to clam for supper up to one peck. Sites are well separated, reasonably level, and well maintained. Roads were in good shape. There's a nice playground too. This area is so large just walking it is a good hike. 7/5/2020. Note: The previous review should be removed. State Park employees can not be expected to allow rule breaking behavior; they'll lose their job! That review is simply a "gripe", and not helpful to anyone. Take it down, please.

For Cobscook Bay State Park: Nice place, but the manager is very much into harassing campers. We paid for 2 sites and they were both very large. We decided having our 2 small campers in one site was harming nothing. The manager said we could have 5 tents and 10 people, but we could not have 2 tear drop sized campers. Bothering no one. We were not Loud, they just wanted to be pricks.
