For Timberland Acres RV Park: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of the campground at Timberland Acres. Getting to the campground was no problem. The roads in the campground are paved, but they have lots of speed bumps and the road is very uneven and bumpy. The trees seem to all be trimmed. The campground office was open and everyone was friendly. We were shown where our site was on a map. No problem finding our site. They have a small camp store. They sell live and cooked lobsters. Check in area is large in size. The road signage to our site was good. Sites have fire pits and they sell firewood. Our site was 246, a pull thru site with a picnic table and fire pit. There are no good views from any site in this campground. The campground has most sites with no tree coverage. Our site was not level. The site was dry. The site was gravel. Half of the campground is seasonal folk or long term. Most of the seasonal folks take better care of their site than the campground does with the transit sites. There is a bathhouse but it is outdated. Laundry is large and was descent. There is a pool but it seemed very small. There is a game room but it looked rundown. There is no workout fitness room. There is no restaurant on site, but there are good restaurants in town. The grounds are plain and there is no divide between sites. We had very little spacing to divide us from our neighbor. There is no cable tv. The Wifi was ok, but no streaming. Here is the bad. Wifi was limited, no cable, grounds are plain, no vegetation between sites, roads too bumpy, bathrooms outdated, game room rundown, pool area is not inviting and last is the campground is too far from the park. In my opinion there are no good sites, but if I had to pick on it would be 120. I would probably not come back. I would come back. Dream Big, Travel Far, Live Well...

For Timberland Acres RV Park: This is a large and busy park. At least half the park is seasonals. Kids and dogs abound during the day but it’s pretty quiet at night. It’s hit or miss as far as how level the sites are or how much space is between sites. The sites are mostly dirt with small gravel which will end up inside your rig. The sites in our section were staggered which was nice as we were close together. In the middle of the campground are some insanely long, not necessarily level, sites. It looked comical when a camper van was parked in one of these. Each site has a plastic picnic table and fire pit. There is no cable but you can get a few OTA. Satellite is possible in most sites. The WIFI worked pretty good – until it didn’t. We ended up using our hot spots a lot. Luckily, Verizon had 4g 3 bars. They have a large laundry room, and it stays busy. There is also a small pool and playground area. The big beef that will keep us from coming back? Low voltage from the power pole. We are all electric so that quickly became a problem. Without running any heavy-duty appliances, the voltage on each leg ran around 115. Turn on an A/C and it would drop to 108-110. After our surge protection saved us from disaster after running all 3 A/Cs, we only ran 2 at a time but we were still jumpy! We notified the campground of the problem. They checked it out but they said it was within power company limits so they couldn’t do anything. Huh. We talked to several other campers near us that were having the same problem. They need to fix this! Be aware that if you stay a month or longer you have to be in the same site the entire time to get the discounted rate. Electric is a separate charge. The park is close to Ellsworth with plenty of shopping. It is 20-30 minutes to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Traffic is nuts. Check out Mardens – you can always find something! Also, Hannaford has great prices on fresh lobster and will steam them for free. And they do a great job!

For Timberland Acres RV Park: Nice park, some lots are larger than others, we have a 45’ MH and had a larger lot. Close to Acadia. We spent most of our time in the national park and didn’t take advantage of the amenities. People were nice, park was quite, we would stay here again.

For Timberland Acres RV Park: We stayed in August, w/e site. This is probably one of the nicest campgrounds in the area. The upper sites are smaller and in the trees but the lower sites are very nice. It is a clean park with many seasonal visitors, but this is to be expected in this area. It’s nice and quiet at night, no road noise like you will get at some of the campgrounds closer to the park. laundry room is very clean. Nice pool for the kids. Wifi is for checking email only, no streaming. We have AT&T and didn’t get good reception in this whole area. The owners are very helpful and nice. Lots to see and do in the area.

For Timberland Acres RV Park: Timberland Acres RV Park. We stayed the last week of May, Memorial Day weekend for 7 nights. The park is actually between Ellsworth and Trenton Me. Good paved internal roads, Gravel pads mostly pull throughs. Picnic tables and fire rings at every space. Laundry ($2.50 per load to wash and dry), Firewood and LP Gas are available for sale in the park. In fact, there seems to be an abundance of firewood available in the area. Spacing of the RV sites is a little close but not uncomfortable and the sites are plenty long. The rate for the week was $275 tax included so about $40 a night. There are a good many seasonal trailers in the park There are all of the common stores in the area, Wal Mart is nearby, Hannaford grocery and others also. The park filled up for Memorial Day weekend and there was a family reunion/returning guest/party atmosphere but is was not loud at all. There is lots to see in the area, Acadia National Park of course is the big attraction as is the town of Bar Harbor. You should plan a mid-week visit to those and avoid the crowd. Drive around the western side of Mt. Desert island and the towns of Southwest and Northeast Harbors. The houses are pretty spectacular maybe not in size but in location. We took a trolley tour of the park and learned about the “Money” folk who developed the park and donated it to the people of the United States. We drove about 1 ½ hours to Lubec Maine, the most eastern town in the continental United States and also stopped to see the Quoddy Head Lighthouse.
