For Thunder Bay Campground: Stayed on site #36. It was very level, water and electricity were great and it was across from the bathhouse. The private showers have individual heaters and very good warm water. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Debbie, the owner, was very nice. We would stay here again when we’re in the area.

For Thunder Bay Campground: A woodsy attractive campground. Sites are very large and the price is right. Pictures on this app are not correct, they depict an entirely different C G connected with golf and a resort. This place is comfortable and quiet, truly a diamond in the rough.

For Thunder Bay Campground: A no frills but decent campground within a short distance of Alpena. I could find no reviews prior to coming so didn't know what to expect. They don't have a website. When we arrived for a three day stay there was no one to greet us at a small building inside the campground entrance. Still haven't seen anyone two days into our stay. They offer 50 amp and have very large and level spots. No sewer hookups but pump station. Nice spacious bathrooms and very quiet within the park. Would probably give a four rating if they had an attendant (self checkin) and full hookups. For 25.00 not bad! Would come again. BTY, Alpena is a very neat little town on the shores of Thunder Bay/Lake Huron. Beautiful city park on the shores and very nice/friendly people. Visit the historical society at the library, the town has an amazing history.
