For Lake Fanny Hooe Resort and Campground: It is said that “location is everything”, well.., almost. This resort appears to be operated by a very friendly, loosely organized, overwhelmed, group of hippies. Other than that, the place is run down, and worn out. And if your parked In the back 40 and it rains, you’re in the black mud swamp. In the front lots, it’s sand and burned up grass:)

For Lake Fanny Hooe Resort and Campground: Great area for hiking and mountain biking. $40 nightly for electric and water. Grassy sites, but no shade. Utilities are in the front of many sites and many of us motorhomes elected to pull in head first. There is NO cell service in the entire area & the park WiFi was sketchy, weak and slow, kicked us off regularly. Cable TV is only for the 10 full service sites. There is a laundromat onsite, but I never used the bathrooms. Staff were pleasant to deal with. Park sets on prettyLake Fanny Hooe

For Lake Fanny Hooe Resort and Campground: Very nice area to camp in and overall the campground is very good for the area. It’s a great area to bike, hike, and be disconnected. WiFi is barely useable and cell service is non-existent. Two notes though for those with larger rigs (we’re 38’). 1. Try to stay away from the sites across the bridge/creek. Yes, they are shaded and technically you can fit, but it is VERY tight. The sites before the creek are largely unshaded but much more suited for larger rigs. 2. Be mindful of the power. During the week, the voltage was on the low side (112v) but workable. Once Friday hit, the voltage was consistently low (105v) and the park staff were dismissive of it. We had repeated shut offs from our Progressive Industries system which protected us. I rated it 3 stars because the Park oversold the suitability of our site and the power issue.

For Lake Fanny Hooe Resort and Campground: Great campground in a fantastic mountain biking/ATV/hiking area on Lake Superior. Campsites are level and large, but not really shaded. You can bike/walk right into the small town. No wifi or cell reception though which was ok for the few days we were there. We stayed in a 35' fifth wheel. We will definitely be back!

For Lake Fanny Hooe Resort and Campground: Read reviews carefully and planned accordingly with regard to extra water hoses and electric lines necessary. Said they put us in that spot because we were an RV and could drive in to hook up without the above extras unlike a 5th wheel or trailer. However we would have need an extra sewer hose to drive in. We choose to back in and use the extra water and electric. The spot next to us which was set up normal was given to 2 different RV's while we were there which we questioned. Otherwise Lexi in office very helpful. The clubhouse nice and bathroom/showers clean. No real amenities that we could find to warrant a daily fee usage for guests. Maybe we missed something.

Philip

For Lake Fanny Hooe Resort and Campground: While the campground is clean and so are the bathrooms, my rating of two stars is based upon misrepresentation of the facility's amenities. They advertise cable TV and WiFi. Cable TV is only available at the 10 sites with full hook-ups. And WiFi is only available at the clubhouse, which is closed and locked from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Considering that there is no cell service whatsoever in Copper Harbor, there is no way to be notified or to notify someone in the event of an emergency. While not a big issue, the use of a keypad/combination to enter the restroom was a minor annoyance. Be aware that the power poles and water connections are in the front of the campsites potentially requiring two hoses and an extension cord to connect ones RV to services. Copper Harbor is a charming village, but if I were to come here again, I would make camping reservations at the State Park instead.

For Lake Fanny Hooe Resort and Campground: Nice clean park. The bathrooms are the cleanest I have seen in a while. Staff friendly. I will go be back one day.
