For Bay View NF Campground: Have to like on to all the positive reviews. Loved this place. Classic National Forest: well spaced spots, quiet. We were in a 24 foot van so didn’t use pit toilets nor hand water pump. But took our chairs over the small hill and sat on the shore of the lake (site 13). The hosts Ron and Val were friendly, walked the grounds in the evening with their name tags on. But the biggest delight was the meticulously placed rake marks that wound around and around and around our fire pit. Like my own little labyrinth. My OCD self was delighted!

For Bay View NF Campground: Absolutely beautiful. We stayed in site # 3 which is right on the water. Large picnic area that overlooks the water and walk right down to the beautiful beach. Plenty of room for our 30 ft travel trailer- could fit a larger rig in the space with an easy back in. No hookups. Pit toilet. Hand pump water spigot.

For Bay View NF Campground: The best national forest campground ever!!! So, why this rave review? There are several reasons: 1) the campground is on the south shore of White Fish Bay on Lake Superior ... as in most of the campsites have a short path down to the sandy shore 2) the hosts Kathy and Pat are caring, active, helpful, personable hosts that are responsive, and take great care of and pride in this campground 3) the sites are all spacious primitive camping sites 4) there is little road or other noise ... only the sound of waves hitting the shore 5) there is a long ... as in really long ... stretch of beach to walk So, what’s not to like??? And these things are all TO like a lot!

For Bay View NF Campground: Beautiful forested sites on the bay of lake Superior. Newer pit toilets and water available in this week maintained national Forest campground. Reservations now available on line for majority of sites. With senior access pass, only $9/night.

For Bay View NF Campground: We love this little campground. The sites are large and give you plenty of elbow room to spread out. It is quiet and beautiful. Great camping right on the shore of Lake Superior. Many people pull in for one night only, on their way around the lake, doing the superior circle tour. Others like us stay for the 14 days which is the limit. Bring your fly swatter, there can be plenty of black flies. Bring your beach chairs. Bring your laptop We got a great wireless internet signal. Plan to do most all of your cooking, there are a few restaurant options but the food tends to be boring, overpriced, and after you eat, if you're like me, you say I would have been happier cooking my own meal. Plenty of two tracks to explore in the area. The beach is sandy, no rocks here but down the street at the big pine day use area there are plenty of rocks to collect. They have the upgraded pit toilets and a hand pump for water, so it's like going back in time, so if you're RVing come with a full water tank, and an empty blacktank!

For Bay View NF Campground: Nice campground! The sites are good sized and you can fit larger RVs and motor homes in most of the campsites. We have a 30 ft 5th wheel. Some are tight but 1/2 the campsites are on Lake Superior. Beautiful sandy beaches and clear water though cold! Nice quiet campground!

Limited sites so I STRONGLY suggest making reservations because it is popular. If they are full, monocle lake is a few miles east and is very nice too! It's also a national forest campground.
