Idaho Woodcutter
For Stump Island Park: City Park along bank of Missouri River. Name given by Lewis and Clark who stopped here in 1803. Most of campground is along flats just above the river and it does flood. This year it left several feet of sand/ mud on camping pads which had just been cleared on our visit in Sept 19. Restroom is designed to resist vandalism, being made of cast concrete & painted battleship grey. None the less the shower worked fine if the appearance is not the best. We camped up on the hill above as rain was predicted and the grave/ mud roads on the flat would have become a bit slippery. We loved it, but are not put off by appearances. Price $10 for site, + $10 for 30 amp power.
