Stayed 8/7 thru 8/10/2025 in a 27’ A-class motorhome. Site 48. Volunteer was very accommodating to change from site 6( because our levelers broke). It’s a five mile drive from highway to the campground. Site was a pull thru, paved, shady with 50/30 amp. Lots of great birding and the deer practically walk up to you. Had to drive down the hill to the lake beach, very nice, water about 80. There is a restroom at beach. The laundry was disappointing, only 2 washers and 2 of 3 dryers broken(room very dirty). The showers and restrooms were well kept but old. I’m sure Missouri will repave the campground roads soon at this very popular campground.

Arrived for one night in late March. No reservation needed bc this beautiful thickly wooded, place is nearly empty. Many sites with 30 and or 50 amps, fire rings, picnic tables, many lake views but don’t see any with water hookup. Flat/mostly flat sites, short 7 mile drive to shops, restaurants. Quiet. Lots of deer roaming. Camp store & laundry don’t open until May. I’m guessing you need reservation at n the summer. 5-star.

Beautiful park with large, wooded, grassy sites. We were in section 1 and our site was asphalt paved. Most sites are not level front to back, but, we were able to level without difficulty. Bathrooms and showers are old but well maintained and clean. Staff friendly. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Nice boat launch area. Would definitely stay there again.

Site #21--50 amp but no sewer although there is a shared water spigot behind this site. Narrow roads and tight for parking big coaches. Paved sites, but Ozark gravel all around the site and uneven ground around site. No WiFi, ok satellite. Shower house and bathrooms left a lot to be desired. Nice store with local firewood and ice, friendly staff at check-in.
