For Camp 1 - Bennett Spring State Park: Great spots, back in and pull through. Most are canted maybe 1-2” down towards front (intentionally) and incredibly nice level pads. Water is in nice, clean faucet mounted on sturdy galvanized post, no leaks, well maintained/clean, 50a boxes are secure and open/close well, sewer is simple cast iron plate cover. Sites are well trimmed good tree cover, peaceful. Most campers are fishermen / friendly, but not a party place by any means. Quiet time starts at 10 but park gets pretty quiet by 9-930. Dark skies and lots of stars! Very family friendly, pet friendly. Wonderfull full-time hosts. $5 firewood until 8pm. Dining hall and park store 2min away and open daily. Fishing as close as 1000ft away (zone 3) or 5 min drive to head of spring (zone 1). Niangua river access within 1000’ of campground 1. Beautiful park. You will not regret.

For Camp 1 - Bennett Spring State Park: Stayed here in a 40’ motorhome. Campground #1 is fine for large RV’s with 50 amp and full hookups. Beautiful park with lots of shade, paved roads and level sites. If you like to trout fish then this is heaven and the reason why most people are staying here. Reservations in camp#1 are normally made a year in advance however, we happen to call few days ahead and someone had cancelled allowing us to take their spot. We will be back.

For Camp 1 - Bennett Spring State Park: Bennett Springs is a very large state park, campground 1 is but one of 4 RV camp areas and is the easiest to access and most accommodating to big rigs. This campground is one of the best we have stayed at. All paved, quite level, very spacious and many pull throughs to choose from. Walking distance to the river where live bait anglers (zone 3) fish. This is a beautiful park to stay in even if you are not there for the fishing, which is the primary draw. Kids have playgrounds and swimming pool, nature center. There is a restaurant as well, we had dinner for two & cost $20! This is fly fishing country so lots of day users & busy park roads. But the campground is quiet and clean. Wifi is also available, not fast but decent. Loved it!
