For Lake Paradise Resort: Wow, what a find!! Rainy day so we went out rusticating and found this absolutely exceptional camping resort. Gorgeous lakes with fishing and boating (canoe & kayak). Restaurant on the weekends, enormous pool (largest in Missouri), mini-golf. Tons of kids running, fishing, riding bikes so totally family friendly. Can’t wait to go back with my canoe. Don’t sleep on this one, truly a unique destination. Did I mention cabins for rent, ice cream parlor. So much more I need to explore here.

For Lake Paradise Resort: Since new owners have purchased you can tell they are working really hard to improve the whole area. It’s a family run business. I always call and verify our reservation a few days prior. We love the full hook up sites right on the water. It’s very peaceful. Our whole family has made many trips there and will continue to do so. The pool is wonderful and it’s nice when camping you can watch for least busy times to enjoy. This has nothing to do with the campground but the roads leading to the campground are very rough.

For Lake Paradise Resort: Made reservations for 3 nights and let them know I would be arriving after they close. We get to the campground and find our spot and someone was in the spot. The guy in the spot came out and said he has that spot reserved for a month. No after hours phone number. So we went to the office area and sat trying to figure out what we were going to do. Saw a lot of sketchy people coming and going. We left for somewhere else. Called back the morning to let them know what happened and cancelled the reservation.

For Lake Paradise Resort: Beautiful grounds. Needs a lot of tlc. I understand property has sold. Excited to see what new owners accomplish. Apparently this was the place to be in its prime. Has a huge pool, unused restaurant, unused party room. Very nice shelter house which is being utilized. PutPut and baseball fields with concession not used. Several lakes.

For Lake Paradise Resort: The owner is very nice but I think he had his hands full trying to get this place back to what it looked like on the web page. The pool was closed, there was poison ivy around the water and power pole (luckily my husband recognized it before I stepped in it), weeds were high in the camp sites, the roads are gravel with pot holes and our 50amp popped and made us cut back to one AC which was rough..... The buildings on the property are very rundown. This place needs help but the owner is working on it. Hopefully he will bring it back to its glory days.

For Lake Paradise Resort: Stayed Labor Day weekend 2018. I was a bit concerned after reading all of the reviews - but honestly don't understand them. The park is old - it needs maintenance in a LOT of areas (I walked the entire campground, and would guess that about 1/2 of the sites are not usable). The property is huge, the lakes are great. The pool is big - is it 4 Olympic pools? NO! It's big and is great in that it is built out into the lake. The bottom of the pool had algae in certain spots - almost like they cleaned it in patterns. Anyway - it was not gross nor a problem for the dozens of kids and adults in the pool (I swam 2 days with my kids (12+14) and they loved it). It is $2/day to use the pool - seemed quite reasonable to me. Our site was #9 and we backed up to the lake. 50amp service was great - water pressure was fine. Full hookup site. Several in this area are only 30 amp so you need to ask. When buying firewood I did talk to the owner who was quite pleasant and was present the whole weekend. I did ask him how things were going and he is overwhelmed with maintenance and is looking to sell the property (has been for several years). After walking around - I understand the issue. My guess is that it would take millions to bring the park back to it's former glory - road work, water/sewer/power work. There is a mini golf course on the property that needs work as well as an overgrown baseball field / clubhouse. The restaurant has been closed for several years. There are a number (guessing 30ish?) full time trailers on site in various stages of disrepair. The people I walked by on my walks around the park were friendly. It is a tired property - but I will come back. Site was nice (not quite level but easy to correct), narrow (for my 4 slides and 41' 5th wheel), and pretty close to neighbors. The other 1/2 of the park only had one family on it - had it to themselves-not sure on their services. I'd recommend.

For Lake Paradise Resort: OMG this is the worst place that I seen in a long time. Thankfully I only toured this place before I pulled my rig down there. $5 per person/per day to use the pool, some of the campground’s has roads that are too treacherous to safely navigate a camper, looks to have a rough crowd living there.
