For Hickory Ridge Campground: We didn’t stay long enough to give a good review. But the campground is very easy to find, sites clearly marked (we pulled in at 10pm). Woman was very nice on the phone, despite my bad cell service while traveling. There were 2 downfalls. Site 86, the hook ups aren’t in the right spot to stay hitched up for people just stopping for a night. We had to unhitch to reach water. Also, there’s some kind of plant with giant thorns that have been scattered all over. Every time we came in the camper, we had them stuck in our shoes, and on our carpet. The thorn is about 1/2” long and VERY sharp. Glad we didn’t have our dog with us.

For Hickory Ridge Campground: Under new ownership. The pool looked nice, but we got there after it had closed for the day. The new people were very accommodating and pleasant. We will definitely be staying anytime we are passing by.

Volksie

For Hickory Ridge Campground: We stayed one night. Pull through site 31. It was level. We did not have to disconnect. This park has new owners and they were very friendly. Easy in easy out for a 38’ fiver. The pool is out of service right now but they were working on it. The grass areas were beautiful and the dog run was great. High chain link fence.

Mary

For Hickory Ridge Campground: Kan-Du is under new ownership these last few months and is now known as Hickory Ridge Campground. The new owners are working hard on improvements. We just took our grandkids here for a couple nights in our 36 foot motorhome. There is a row of nice level pull-through sites at the edge of the big play field, which is where we stayed with FHU. There are also many shady back-in sites along the tree lines. I believe there are some W/E sites as well and a dump station. There are some full-time and seasonal sites that are nicely kept as well. There is a large salt-water pool that our kids enjoyed using on the one warm day we had. Our grandson rode his bike around the grounds. They have games and puzzles for use, and movie rentals, firewood, and pizza for sale in the little camp store. There is a short hiking path in the woods, and it is only about five minutes from Graham Cave State Park for more hiking. The shower houses were newly renovated this year under the new ownership. We also had made reservations at Warm Springs Ranch in Booneville, MO, the Budweiser Clydesdale breeding facility, which is less than an hour from Hickory Ridge if you are looking for more sightseeing in the area.

Ann S

For Hickory Ridge Campground: KAn-Do Kampground 99 Hwy T Montgomery City, MO 573-564-7993 $37.34 with GS discount August 2021 There are quite a few permanent residents- I would say MOSTLY permanent. We were assigned pull- thru site 35. Even with unhooking the car to move forward and back we couldn’t level and rear tire was off the ground. You could visually see the incline of the site. I called, and they moved us to 32, where we could get level. Hookups were good at that site, but water was shared with site. Only OTA TV was religious stations, but one showed old westerns. We went to soak in the shallow pool and violated their rule of no drinks in the pool area- our mistake. The maintenance/manager did NOT take kindly to the violation, and yelled at us “Don’t TELL me you have a drink in my pool! Can’t you read?!, there is a sign right there….” I understand that we caused the reprimand, but we would have responded better if he had been nicer about it. We have been in MANY RV pools, with similar signs, and they are there more for insurance purposes, and not enforced. We were wrong, but HE overreacted. I was really afraid he would do something to our rig in the middle of the night - he was that irate! SO, if you choose to stay here, FOLLOW ALL RULES TO THE LETTER!, and hope you get a site where you can get level.

Just Chickens

For Hickory Ridge Campground: After 4 days driving & 3 nts of boondocking, this was a welcomed stopover; clean, quiet, and level gravel pad. Open year-round. There are some full-timers. We stayed here before, and will stay again. After taxes and AAA disc $31.43 w/ full-hookups (30-amp). Verizon 4 bars. I would give it 5 b it we didn’t use all of the facilities.

Mel

For Hickory Ridge Campground: Sites are very narrow and un-level. Swimming pool not in working order. Looks like it needs TLC. I would t recommend.
