For Whitten Park/Fulton Rec Area: Camped here in November with a 34 ft fifth wheel. Level concrete pads with good angle for easy back in. Great spacing between sites with lots of trees. Some sites have good views of Tombigbee waterway. Water & 30/50 amp power. Have not visited rest rooms or used dump station yet. Nice info Center about Army Corps projects. $12 for prime site with senior national parks pass, $11 for others. Double for non seniors. Great bargain!

For Whitten Park/Fulton Rec Area: This park has some unique features as well as the standard Corps spaciousness. The waterfront sites are a photographer's dream when the fall colors are in full swing. There are docks where you can launch a canoe or kayak. At the park entry there is a wonderful paved bike trail that tracks along the canal shore and ends at a lock where barges can be viewed navigating through. This is the only Corps park that we have found that has a top-notch historical display describing the construction of the canal and lock system. The historical center is a "must see". As far as the parking facilities go, this park is well designed with concrete pads, and paved roads. We had no trouble driving the big bus on the loops. The dump station is easy in and easy out. Sometimes parks are designed with tight turns for big rigs in the dump stations. This park should be the model for all dump station designs. Yes, this park is old but we found the restrooms and showers clean, and nicely heated during our stay in cold weather.
Each rest room has coin operated washers and dryers. We are familiar with sites 012, 011, and 060 and recommend them for big rigs. Being premium water view sites, they are $11 a day with the "old person pass". All other sites are $10. We love this park and will return every fall if possible. As of this writing (early Nov) there are a total of two other rigs parked here.

For Whitten Park/Fulton Rec Area: The park is clean but the bathrooms are filthy and very hot. Also the bathhouses are old and haven't been updated.
It is a very quiet campground but be prepared to use your shower and bath in your RV. We camped here in a 35 foot motor home.
