For River Town Campground: Good, not great. A bit old. Dump is at extremity of each site, so must back up to dump. The November prices are reasonable. One small dog run and only one bath house. We’re here for only one night so for transit it was fine. Get a state park on the LA side for longer.

For River Town Campground: Stayed one night in November 2019 in 42’ motorhome with toad. Easy access in and out. Nice wide gravel spots with some grass areas, a pool for summer months, but was there in Nov. rate was good at under $30. Negative for us is we had to unhook toad because electric pedestal was all way at end of sites. Would stay again for longer and see area.

For River Town Campground: I give it 4-stars for the price, very reasonable especially with Good Sams. We had a pull through and unlike the previous reviewer’s situation, hook ups were located where they should be, so no problems there. Gravel site and somewhat unlevel, but manageable. Wifi was spotty. One of us had recently broken an ankle and so I asked about handicapped accessible bathroom. Easier to use it when outside rather than going up and down RV steps, right? The nice owner parked us across from bathrooms to make it easier, problem was, when we got into the bathroom, we learned the handicapped stall had no handrails! How can that be, despite the, having handicapped signs? I never paid attention to these thing s until I needed them, now I do. So this is why I give them 4 instead of 5 stars.

For River Town Campground: Clean and well kept campground. Close to the Vicksburg battlefield sites. Limited trees or shade. Pull throughs are long enough, but the hook-ups are at the entrance end of the site. Since we were pulling a car hauler flatbed trailer, we had to drive our car off the trailer, pull the trailer all of the way through to the front of the site and disconnect it. Then we had to pull the motorhome around behind the trailer so it was near the back of the site where the hook-ups were. Still had to use three sewer lines, two water supply hoses to reach an up-hill hook-up. When emptying black and grey water, had to lift up the hose to empty into drain. Hosts were great and offered to move trailer to overflow area with their truck, but it wasn't needed.

For River Town Campground: Camp hosts were very friendly ( former managers), pull through, 50 amp, clean well kept. Very convenient to Civil War sites and the $27.00/night make it a 5 star in our book. Definitely would stay there again.

For River Town Campground: Called for a last minute overnight and had no problem getting in A nice and quiet campground no trains or traffic noise heard! Very clean, bath house a little dated but nice and clean. Would stay here again as it’s close to downtown Vicksburg.

For River Town Campground: one of the best value campgrounds we’ve ever stayed at. we’ve paid much more for a lot less. would easily come back. generous site space. some full timers but classy. above average ok wi-fi when it works. (7mb down 2 up) great weekly rate of $25 a night. (as of 07/04/18) (we stayed 7 nights) good power and water pressure (no sulfur smell) a few campsites have trees/shade con: sewer is in the back of every site so you should have at least 30 ft of sewer hose. apparently level, mostly flat, gravel sites but whole campground is slightly unlevel so you’ll have to do a little levelup. nice small saltwater pool with privacy fence. up keep of the facility is above average.
