For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: We travel 4 to 6 month journeys almost every year with friends who have an RV with the same requirements for a campground as we have. This was the only one on the side of the park we liked. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our site, #20, was a perfect for the parks WiFi. The very best part of our site was the view of the mountains and the lake. The sky was magnificent during the day and most breathtaking in the evening. We were able to see it clearly. Our dog's favorite part was the meadow near the sites where she could run and play and not be near a busy Street. Not sure if this was condoned by the park. I cannot speak for the tent and cabin sites as we did not use them. The laundry room was clean and not overpriced. Between our site and our friends there is a dead tree with a hole that is occupied by two birds. I believe they are taking turns sitting on a nest but did not want to get right up to the hole so they would still come back. Please be respectful of their privacy if you get this site! They will come and go while you're here.. Must be used to RVers. There is a restaurant here if you want simple fare. If not, you might want to go to one of the many hotel restaurants in the Park. We all ate more than one meal at the st. Mary's restaurant. We have agreed that the major downside to the sites is the uneven ground. Leveling was not an issue. Walking was. If you have any difficulty with balance this would not be the place for you. The only other thing I can tell you on the negative side is that the sewer from the full service areas drains uphill. Not really a big deal but just FYI. We would gladly book here again.

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Stayed one night while enroute to Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta CA. This is very close to the east end of the Going to the sun Road in Glacier National Park. Paid $52.25 per night with Good Sam Discount. Price seemed high for the park amenities but you are very close to the National Park so that is the reason for the price. Sites are dirt with some grass the site was not very level but manageable . Our site had cow and horse manure all over it however we were asked to pickup after our dog. View from the site is amazing, overlooking the lake and valley, very nice!!. Check in was easy with great service from the desk employees. Overall this is a good campground with full hook-ups in close proximity to the national park. Would stay again if in the area but would look at the National Park campgrounds first.

Campergram

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Far too expensive for what you get. The spaces where we were are not level, potholes and hills. In the off season it really wouldn’t take much to level it out. The WiFi works if you are at the office, not at your site. We were about 8 spaces from the office and still had to go up by the office. Which wouldn’t have been bad except it was the second week of September and very cold. And the showers...what can I say except that they are woefully inadequate. In the women’s showers there was only one chair for all the showers, no benches, tiny tiny tiny showers, no hooks. Thank goodness I have a hanging shower bag, but there was still nowhere to put my clothes or towel. How expensive can it be to add a few hooks to each shower, and at least a chair for each shower?

Airstreamer

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Close to east entrance of Glacier National Park. Check out your site before you pay because many have no sewer. The roads are gravel and very dusty. Sites are on mostly grass and ours had pot holes. Our site on lower level was not very level. Need a token to use showers, and bathrooms could qualify as historic! They were clean but very outdated. There is a restaurant on site that got lousey reviews for service. Bottom line...go somewhere else if it is nicer.

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Bathrooms for this campground are woefully inadequate for the number of campers during peak season if you aren't fully self contained. They obviously haven't updated them in several years. Showers are included in price but require tokens from the office. Laundry facilities were overcrowded with 6 washers and only 4 working dryers at the time. Full hookup sites have nice view but are stacked close enough that fire rings aren't allowed in that loop. The tent sites were intermingled around a group site (that had 25 campers). Consider this campground only as a reservable spot prior to entering Glacier.

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Not many choices for campgrounds in St Mary but I can't imagine any are worse than this one. For the price I would have expected a whole lot more. Obviously the owners have not reinvested any money into this park or made any updates since the 1970s. Our site was level but that was the only positive. Sewer connections are situated so that you are greeted with your neighbors sewer connection just out your front door and uphill. Could not screw the sewer line attachment into the outlet so that might explain why the previous occupant of our site dumped most of their black tank onto the ground and running down into lower site. Low water pressure, non-existent Internet, narrow spaces which are either gravel or dirt. We stayed here in a travel trailer..
