For Rising Sun Campground - Glacier National Park: I tried to update information but it wouldn't let me. Glacier NP is now VERY strict on the 21 ft policy. Nothing over 21 ft is allowed and that is bumper to bumper so it includes any tow vehicle. You will be asked to leave by the camp host or the park ranger. It is posted everywhere from the front gate to the actual campground. Beautiful campground for vans and tents.

For Rising Sun Campground - Glacier National Park: Positive: Very convenient base from which to visit and explore Glacier NP. Price is reasonable. Natural setting is impressive and beautiful. The RV Dump Station is well designed, built and maintained, offering easy access to the waste inlet and rinse water. Fresh (potable) water is also available to RVs from a nearby separate, dedicated and clearly signed spigot. Not so positive: Campground facilities (other than the RV dump station) are somewhat worn and in need of deferred maintenance, which is understandable and unavoidable given the high number of visitors every year. Vacant sites are reportedly rare on any day (just 3 were only briefly available on a late weekday afternoon in mid June 2019, for example). The camp sites are mostly small, feel crowded together, and have only partial privacy at best. The mosquitoes are hungry. Black bears are not unusual around the edges of the campground, and must be given much distance and not be disturbed. Resident on-site campground staff and park rangers actively patrol the campground to keep track of bear presence and to control/enforce proper HUMAN behavior regarding the bears.
