For Sprague Creek Campground - Glacier National Park: Mixed experience at this campground. The location is good as it is roughly halfway between Apgar Village and Avalanche campground. which is the last camping spot before you start going up the "Going to the Sun" road. Note that RV's are NOT allowed in this campground or on the road much past this point. The amenities are good as there are bathrooms, potable water and the place is relatively clean with good access to the lake, a shuttle stop and there is even SOME cell service if you walk down to the shore. Unfortunately, this area is near the road so you can hear cars going by from all spots (which is a buzz kill if you are trying to "get away from it all") and the spots are pretty small and very close to each other. In my case, I was right on the waterfront but had some clueless neighbors who were cranking a radio, drinking beer/yelling and being generally annoying. Within GNP, this spot is OK but I'd probably look elsewhere if the issues above are important to you.

For Sprague Creek Campground - Glacier National Park: Great location, but extremely busy. Sites are reportedly usually reoccupied as soon as they’re vacated. We looked for an available site but found others were already there just after dawn to claim any vacated site, willing to wait even until checkout time of 12:00 noon if necessary. We changed plans and moved on. The sites are small (shallow and narrow) both for vehicle parking and for a tent. The privacy is minimal in most, unless you’re lucky enough to get a site next to the river (so fewer adjoining neighbors). The facilities are reasonably clean and well maintained, including the bathrooms. An adjacent day use area is surprisingly only lightly used, and offers some additional walking trails, a grassy open area, and picnic tables. If your vehicle length, including anything towed, is longer than around 22 feet or so, you may not be able to negotiate the campground loop road. There is a sign restricting campground access to (I believe) 20 feet length maximum. The sign is there for good reason.

For Sprague Creek Campground - Glacier National Park: Beautiful little campground, small # of sites so it's imperative to plan for an early arrival. First come first serve, well worth the stay, shuttle picks up across the road, campground is central to many of the popular hikes. Enjoy!
