For Mactaquac Provincial Park: Decent provincial park, huge place. Something like 400 sites. Sites were very close together, compared to other provincial parks we’ve visited. The park has its own security, patrolling in pickup trucks. Not a rough crowd, lots of families and kids, but very crowded. Not my scene, would not stay again.

For Mactaquac Provincial Park: Beautiful campground and very well established. One issue I have is the camp store. In previous yearly visits the store was well stocked and reasonably priced. This year the store is pretty much empty except for camp fire wood that is priced high. There is also a canteen that served fries and burgers in previous years and now, well I would not even look to see what they had because it was so dirty. The park store is bad and not representative of the rest of the park. I suspect the store is run privately and not by the provincial park system. My advice is to avoid it. Get what you need on the way to the park. Propane was sold at the store as well and even this gone. There was propane tanks for exchange and a propane refill station, but I was informed that propane is not sold by the store anymore. Fire wood is over priced at $7 per small bundle. Buy it outside the park for half that.
