For Bear Den Mountain Resort and Campground: Paid waaayy too much for this stay, and they added fees at checkin! The road into this place is atrocious....dusty, steep, rutted, narrow! Roads in the campground aren't a lot better, dusty and bumpy. Wifi was a joke....no internet connection. Showers were about average for a 4-H camp. There was a big muddy hole where people were swimming and floating around....pretty gross, actually. MY site wasn't particularly level side-to-side, but I was able to get it level with Anderson leveler and didn't have to unhitch, so I could make a quick get-away in the morning. They had power, and that's the only reason to stay...recharge the batteries.

Lee

For Bear Den Mountain Resort and Campground: Stayed here a couple times. Great campground right off the blue ridge parkway. The gravel road to access the campground has some steep parts, but is manageable. Both sites we camped at were pretty level. There is a fishing pond, arcade, ping pong, and some hiking trails at the campground and plenty more to explore in the surrounding area. If you go, make sure to follow the directions on their website and not gps. Not all the roads in this area are suitable for large campers.

Parkway Explorer

For Bear Den Mountain Resort and Campground: Beautiful Place. Right off Parkway. Great customer service. No real wifi, but didn't come here for that.

Bob Lively

For Bear Den Mountain Resort and Campground: We stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The new owner Mark is in the process of upgrading the park. When finished will be a real hidden gem.

For Bear Den Mountain Resort and Campground: Small untidy sites. Hookups in odd places. Roads in campground in serious need of repair. Bath house has spring loaded doors that bang at all hours.
