For Mayberry Campground: Overnight stop, on our drive north, easy on off I-77. Beautiful campground, large sites. The grounds are well maintained, very friendly staff! Plenty of space to walk my 2 small dogs.

TAM

For Mayberry Campground: Stayed as an overnight with Passport America rate of $20, full hookups. All was great until we unplugged the electric in the morning and our plug was fried! The camp store wasn’t open yet at 9 am but we did leave a voice mail that their electrical box needed to be fixed. A stop at camping world to purchase a new $30 plug added to our overnight cost. Thankfully my husband is handy enough to do the labor himself or the cost would have been higher. Seems like a great place otherwise. There were a number of permanent campers.

Max S

For Mayberry Campground: Unreliable, spotty WiFi. Sites are extremely close. We had an eight foot strip of grass between us and our neighbors on either side! Campground looks like an RV dealership lot. Only one bathroom for entire park with one shower. No fire ring or picnic table. Everyone must take their own garbage to the open dumpsters by the playground and cable was fuzzy and only half the channels listed were really available. Some new sites don't have cable at all.

For Mayberry Campground: Nice park, easy to level site, plenty of room for the coach. Lots of room for walking, friendly staff. Good Verizon signal. Would stay here again. Easy in and out. 34 ft class @ with toad.

Sandy

For Mayberry Campground: Great park easy to get to even sites. Loved Mt Airy. Went to Stone Mountain raining but walked around the house on property and had great look at mountain. Rangers very nice. Would stop here again.

Hinton the Trail

For Mayberry Campground: This review is based off of a one night stay and we did not utilize all of the facilities, but from what we experienced this is a great park. The staff was awesome, friendly and helpful. The park itself is extremely well maintained, everything looks almost new. There are a lot of sites but it’s very quiet. Our site was completely level and all of the others we looked at seemed to be also. They’re all gravel, but again, well maintained. The location is just outside of Mount Airy (Andy Griffith’s hometown and inspiration for Mayberry) which is a neat little town. Overall, if we were coming back through we wouldn’t even look for a different campground. We’d want to stay here.
