For Timberlake Campground: On the good side, the campgrounds were quiet, clean and peaceful. The creek running through was a super calming nighttime sedative. The internet provided was adequate for very minimal connectivity. The perks provided of free bundle of firewood per day was appreciated. On the negative side was the way in which the owner managed the campground path for which all must travel to get to their site. I completely respect the owner's right to limit the speed limit he wants to set. But to construct actual hazards to the guests was very unappreciated. He dredged actual speed hazards which were angular to the path such that if you attempted to drive anywhere near the 3 mph limit set, everything you might have had that was vertical in your campe would be either tipped over or on the floor. I ended up doing the best I could to navigate around them (albeit well below 3) on the grass. Again, I respect the rights of a campground owner to set their rules. But this was beyond being safe and courteous, which I'm sure he was shooting for, but felt very unhospitible to us. Won't be coming back.

For Timberlake Campground: First the plusses. Sites are pretty spread out so you're not inside your neighbors site for the most part. It's also very quiet overall with a calming creek sound if you happen to reserve a creekside site. Now, the negatives. The owner has a severe hard on for the 3mph speed limit. Let me explain. Signs are everywhere to maintain the stated limit which is totally understandable. But... He engineers actual speed hazards for the guests by way of angular ditches across the camp path that is guaranteed to spill every vertical thing in your camper if you even think of actually approaching 3. Bad form!! The Internet provided is barely adequate for basic web browsing. T-Mobile coverage doesn't exist here so if you want any contact with the outside world, you best have some other options. Summed up. A good quiet site for hanging out multiple days for disconnected R&r, but some attention and care for the camper is very needed in my opinion.

For Timberlake Campground: If you like quiet places, with beautiful views, and excellent management, stay here. Wifi good, bathrooms clean and everything working. Park has been in business for 51 years.

For Timberlake Campground: Spacious camp sites positioned along creeks or fishing ponds. Plenty of trees for shade. Mostly high marks for friendly repeat campers. We happened to be there for memorial service for owner who passed away last year but memorial service was delayed so repeat campers could be there. Very heart warming to see so many in attendance.
