For Westside - Fort Ransom State Park: What a lovely tent site in this historic and beautiful state park. We were by the river though it was not visible from our site as we were surrounded by trees and bushes.
The primitive site was a short walk from the car parking. Most of the other sites had parking nearby.
We made a same day reservation which was nice with our unplanned itinerary.
Drinking water is available at the checkin location, a new building with wifi and a leather chairs seating area with a fireplace. This is a special location. We will take advantage of a short trail hike before driving in.
